Due to their mandatory military enlistment, they had to pre-record everything, BTS pre-recorded everything so that ARMYs have stuffs to be busy with while BTS serve their country. And Jimin is still in the military along with jungkook, RM, V, Jhope and Suga. Jin was discharged on June 2024 and Jhope will be coming October next month. The remaining BTS members will be discharge on June 2025.

2024-07-26 21:03:38 +0000 UTCi think you guys get confused hearing the backtrack and think he's lip-syncing. he wasn't; you're just hearing the backtrack on some parts he decides not to sing. also others mentioned it's pre-recorded, and that is true, because he's in the military. like he cannot do adlibs and the main part sometimes while doing difficult choreography (he can sometimes, but sometimes he needs to focus on another important part of the song), jimin and the others sing live all the time. they're bad at lip-syncing if you've ever noticed lol. thanks for the reaction tho.

He had mic on and you can clearly hear his live vocal and breathing. Since he obviously couldn't do at Jimmy's he had to pre record before enlisting. Now dance practice for the choreography has come out in Bangtan TV, BTS official YouTube channel. Its best way for dancers to see the choreography. Look forward to see your dance cover. BTW Jimin did the choreography for this plus did huge part in Set me free pt2 too. He did live solo debut performance of Like Crazy at Jimmy Fallon. You can watch it in Fallon channel. Jimmy is super fan of Jimin :) Jimin will be discharged along with RM, Jungkook and V next June. Then Suga after 2 months. J Hooe this October and Jin was out last month. Also they cannot perform or participate in things like live concerts, tv shows, etc. while enlisted. If you’d like to watch their extra content like behind the scenes, dance practices, etc you can watch on BTS youtube channel. Hope that helps moving forward.

There's a behind the scenes as well as practice videos of him which you can watch of this which show his fully raw vocals as well as an acoustic performance. It's a pre recorded live performance because he's in the military and can't actually be on the show right now. It's similar to what artists did during covid yeah. And all of Jimmy Fallon "live" performances have multiple takes on set according to the audience so this is really no different in that regard. In fact much cooler because of the better camera work.

(doesn’t mean he also didn’t do multiple takes of the full choreography and singing) but they’re are no cuts in it for sure

How do they film it in one shot? Do you know? You can hear it's live. Listen to him breathing at the end of the song. Also, some of the choreo is blocked or staged new. Blocking in choreography means setting in stone where everyone moves on stage and when. Stage actors are blocked with all their movements on stage too. It's diagrammed on paper and put in notebooks. Not kidding. It looks like a road map for each performer. So if someone had to drop out of the cast they can read the map of when and where they say their lines or do their dance movements. You learn it in theatre school. Can you tell which parts of this choreography are different from the MV?

RM also released his second solo album few months ago while he was also in military. All the members recorded a lot of music and content to be released on when they are in military. JIN just recently came back from military on June 12 just a day before their 11th Anniversary of BTS. J-hope is coming back in October this year. And all other members V, RM, JIMIN, JUNGKOOK are coming back June 2025. So any content you might see in future of these members are all done before they went to military. JIN is preparing for his album now as he is back and also doing certain variety shows. He was TORCH BEARER for Olympics Paris 2024 on July 14th.

The only one that's currently done is Jin and J-hope should be done soon around October, the rest of the members should be done by next year !

However I think the guys were talking about how it wasn't live in studio. That unfortunately wouldn't have been able to happen since Jimin is still in the military and even though it was filmed before him going into the military, there is no way an entire audience would be able to keep it secret for 6 months that Jimin was on the show.

2024-07-25 15:45:16 +0000 UTCyes and they'll use more than one camera and and the dancer will be running around out of of shot and getting into the pre marked place so that they are in frame again at the right place and time in the song with multi cameras with the camera operators moving around you can do the close ups as well automatically switching from camera to camera. Sorry I've done this have experience of doing this sort of thing so the something it recorded in one go but it takes time working out where everyone has to be at any given time but it means no post production editing it's done for live tv performances. Been there done that.

When I sing live in a band I will sometimes add some extra bits or alter the tune slightly for add a different harmony in places adlibs etc that I might not have done say the night before.

2024-07-25 15:23:57 +0000 UTCOh it was all recorded live before he went to start is military service as he's not allowed to work while in the military. His mic was live and it was done in one take. You can tell as he sung some bits a little differently compared to the studio version he's got his backing track and he's singing and dancing to his backing track. If you listen carefully you'll hear the odd breath as he sings certain words that push out air and the are caught on the live mic he's singing into. He's doing what he would do at any live BTS concert were the guys sing either to backing tracks or live bands and they wait for the click to in their in ear monitors to let them know the next beat will be the being of their music so they know when to start singing otherwise they'd never hear the music, each other or their own voice's in a crowded stadium of above the noise plus you get anything of between 1 and 4 second delay as the music and voices hit the stadium and rebound back at you. Then you'll be seconds behind your music believe I've been there its weird even in a small arena of 20, 000 there's a that rebound of coming back at you. It's confusing and off putting, when that happens been there and done that when I've not put me in ear piece's back in quick enough. When you speak to your auidence and they scream, shout back it's wierd if you don't keep at least one ear piece in but then you get the sound twice.

When Jimin promoted Like Crazy and his first album, FACE, he flew out to LA and did an interview with Jimmy Fallon and performed live on stage. He had more time to promote that album because it was before his military enlistment. MUSE was released WHILE Jimin is serving in the military. All of the content and performances are pre-filmed, and he had MUCH less time to prepare. Jimmy Fallon really likes Jimin and they actually met up in the studio when Jimin flew out to LA to record Who and they decided that Jimin would send a performance of him performing Who LIVE to Jimmy Fallon for the Tonight show during Muse promotions when Jimin wouldn't be able to perform in person. There is such a thing as recording yourself performing live. That's what Jimin did. He was preparing for his enlistment so he didn't have much time, so he recorded himself dancing while singing live in a studio in Korea and sent the video to Jimmy Fallon. It's pretty simple and BTS actually did the same thing during BTS Week where they sent several performances to the Tonight Show during the pandemic. In fact, mostly all of BTS live performances during the pandemic were recorded in Korea live and aired elsewhere for promotions. I really like you guys and you all seem pretty smart, so I hope that by live you just meant that it wasn't in studio but that you could tell that Jimin sang live, only recorded the video elsewhere? Because that much was obvious, haha. Anyways, thanks for the reaction! I know sometimes we can be a lot but please just pace yourselves so that you can fully understand and appreciate everything without feeling overwhelmed. As always, I appreciate the reaction, PBB!

They’re not super familiar with BTS and their norms/culture, and that’s ok (like how they usually 100% sing live in performances like this, or the nuances of the military enlistment/who’s in who’s out, etc). And that’s ok! So glad you’re diving into the BTS world and learning as you go. When I was a baby ARMY I used to get all 7 confused, now I can tell who’s who by just their smile! ARMY be easy on them! 🥲

This was shot 100% live, one shot, if there were takes then they would do it from the beginning. This was shot in an abandoned Waikiki hotel in Korea. Fun fact: apparently this abandoned hotel was on the haunted list but since Jimin shot his live there, it has become a tourist spot 🤣🤣.

And if in a performance the title says "LIVE", they are indeed singing LIVE.. Their mic is ON Bro!!!. Only sometimes do pre recorders, its depends on where the event, is because in the past apart from busy schedules and distance between countries, that was forcing For pre recorders, but they still sing LIVE, not Lipsync!!.. Try next time pay attention to their voices and back tracks while singing..youll know.

So we get to hear performance vocals vs the studio version. But since they are in the military, this was all done before they went in. So this was recorded probably late November based on Jimin’s hair color. It was shortly after he went into the military. They can release videos as long as they were recorded before their military service. They cannot do any videos (promos, music videos, interviews, etc) while serving in the military. This gives the scope of how much BTS planned before enlisting. They didn’t want ARMY to not have anything while they were away, so they doubled down and did over a year and a half worth of content. It’s crazy to even think of how much time they spent prerecording material. Their love for ARMY knows no bounds and the same for ARMY to BTS. 💜

They've already done it that way during covid + during your Military Duty you're not allowed to be seen live as an Artist so they had to pre-record it.

2024-07-25 13:50:40 +0000 UTCthis was pre-recorded before he went to the military. remember guys, any content you react to that’s recent is pre-recorded. they can’t record any content now that they’ve already enlisted. by korean law, soldiers are not allowed to be in live videos or in pictures (unless they have serious permission) and that applies to BTS as well. also, all of them shaved their hair so they’re bald LMAO. that’s also how yk it’s pre recorded bc they still have hair in these performances. he’s performing on a set. that’s another thing about BTS, they go all out. even if it’s just a 3 minute performance, best believe they’re gonna perform on one high ass budget. and the outfit is the same as in the mv cus that’s just the theme. it’s probably not the same exact one, im pretty confident he has more than one. and yes, he’s singing live. no BTS member EVER lip syncs, it’s not in their vocabulary. anyways, jimin killed this. his vocals are so beautiful & he’s so pretty !! 💜
