This performance (hair, outfit, piano and vocals) is so special to me as it was the very first thing I ever saw from BTS. I didn't know his name or even the name of the group but I just knew he was from the biggest group in the world. It wasn't until 2 years after seeing this that I came to know and love BTS but when I looked back on this performance I watched, I thought it was JiMin lol It wasn't until last year that I finally realised it was Jin, not JiMin, who was my introduction to BTS🤗🙌 Fun Fact: Jin dyed his hair himself and broke the internet with it😆Such a good look!! This was such such a great reaction guys!! I love how you talk about feelings and self love without fearing to be judged just because you are guys . As you get to know the members personality more and their relationship with each other you will see how they break “toxic masculinity” they are not afraid to show their affection and love with everyone esp with each other as they are family. BTS’ love yourself trilogy (the album series this song is from) was EXTREMELY iconic and had one of the most important messages. And epiphany was the best song to express that realization of self love, and honestly jin was also the best person for this song knowing his journey and how he truly came into himself after BTS’ “Fire” era. And this is my favorite Jin solo :))) “Awake” still has a special place in my heart but after watching “Epiphany” live in person, i had to pass the crown😪

I recommended V's Tiny Korean Desk too. Especially for Kev who loves saxophones. V sings a few songs from his album "Layover." And he sings with a Live Band. This is for Caleb. Jin is my favorite too. All the members were assigned to do a short film for TV per "RunBTS", their variety show. Jin filmed " The Handsome Hotelier". It's on YouTube. I think he filmed this before he took on the name "Worldwide Handsome". You can all react to it. Jin is great in it. I've asked other reactors to react to it, but no one will because it's acting and not singing. But I know Caleb will watch it. Another time I'll tell you Jin's BTS story. He did not like himself or love himself when he started. He was shy and sullen. He has an inspiring story how he changed. Jin even tells it to Army at a concert. I'll find it for you. Jin's original version is on YouTube. "Jin demo version Ephinany". Big Hit rewrote it because they didn't think it was marketable. But go listen to his original. They kept his ending. I Love his version! I think it could have been popular. Big Hit did put it on BTS's anthology album. Maybe Jin will put it on his first solo album. I think I'll message him that idea.

So this was performed by Jin at Wesley Stadium and was during their Love Yourself era… it’s from their Love Yourself: Answer album. They also have Love Yourself:Her and Love Yourself:Tear albums. I am explaining in my coment why I love Jin's voice the best. But it's also because of his story. Big Hit assigned him a vocal coach. The first thing he said to her was "I can't sing". Vocal teachers have vocal techniques to tell if you can sing and how high. I learned this when I took voice lessons. The voice teacher found out I was a soprano not an alto. Anyway, with Jin doing these vocal techniques she discovered he had an impressive potential to become a great singer. And here's why I admire him. When it clicked in his brain he could sing, he practiced more and harder than any other student she ever had. Jin became her favorite student of all time. He stays in touch with her and invites her to concerts. A male musical actor who can belt a song is a star on Broadway. He could come to New York and take over. But he doesn't want to act. He's been offered movies, but declines. He loves to sing more than than acting. And when Jin decided to try song writing he succeeded. He had many solo songs out before he went to the military. But now that he's back, he is working on his first solo album. By the way, Jin wrote "Ephinany". But Big Hit didn't think it was marketable. So they rewrote the song to this version. However, his original is on "YouTube". I love it. And Big Hit did include it on their anthology album. Oh, and you did know he taught himself piano so he could play piano for this song? Not kidding! On YouTube his original is under "Jin demo ver Ephinany". Of note. All the guys have a beautifully colored microphone that matches their ear pieces. Jin's favorite color is pink. He wears it often.

For some reason I don't like the word bias. So I'll say it this way. Jin's voice is my favorite. I am not dissing the other guy's voices. They're all stunningly exquisite. But I fell in love with Jin's voice when the vocal line sang "House of Cards". I had never really heard him sing by himself. This was before "Epiphany" and all his other solos. Watch his MV movie "The Astronaut". He didn't have time to put out an album before he left for the military. But he did collaborate with Coldplay on "The Astronaut" song. Anyway, when Jin belted out a few words, "No way, No way." I melted. I come from a musical theatre background. Choreography and acting and directing. The college I attended we had to learn it all even the tech side. Lighting, building sets, sound, props, and stage manager. No one else in BTS can belt a song. It's when a singer carries his chest voice over his break, passaggio, and goes into his head voice. It is not falsetto. He belts the song beautifully at the end of this song.
