Painting Ork Skin!

Hello, fellow Wizards and Necromancers!

Today we take a look at painting Ork skin! It’s a nice, pale skin recipe I made a couple of years back and it’s very nice to revisit it for you all.

Let’s get into it.

1) Start with a basecoat of Skarsnik Green. Add 2-3 thin coats of the base paint to have a a good, even, reliable surface to work on.

2) Wash with a 1/1 mix of Biel-Tan Green Wash + lyanden Yellow Contrast.

3) Wash with Coelia Greenshade Wash.

4) Highlight with a 1/1/1 mix of Skarsnik + Flash Gitz Yellow + Ushabti Bone, glaze consistency. Only apply this to the points on the skin, that should be the brightest. So that would be on the cheeks, chin, around the eyes and under the nose.

5) Highlight with the previous mix but with more Ushabti Bone (previous mix 2:1 Usbati Bone). Basecoat the lips with Tuskgor Fur.

6) Highlight the entire surface (including the lips) with pure Ushabti Bone, glaze consistency.

7) Highlight with Screaming Skull, layer consistency.

8) Final highlight (tiny bits here and there) should be added with White, any brand. The teeth can be painted by basecoating with Zandri Dust and highlighted with a few lines of Screaming Skull. The eyes are basecoated with Evil Sunz Scarlet and highlighted with Troll Slayer Orange.
