Preparing your models like a professional

Hi all!

This tutorial will explain how to prepare your models before painting like a professional. It explains how to:

1) Cut out your models from the sprue properly

2) Remove mold lines

3) Sand your models

4) Add pins to your models

5) Wash your models so that paints sticks better to them

6) Create home made, DYI paint handles from champagne corks and plastic miniature bases

7) Fill the gaps on your models

This is a very important video on the topics often overlooked by pro painters who are teaching. If you don't prepare your model properly - you have a very good chance of not placing on any painting competition, no matter how good the paintjob is. If you are not an aspiring competition painter - it is still good to prepare your models nicely.

I recommend watching this video and following every step of it to everyone, if you want to become a better painter/modeler.

Tools used: exacto knife, sanding sponge, clippers, superglue, superglue activator, paperclips, milliput (putty), clay shaper.

Hope you like this one!

Cheers,

Mamikon

Thank you for the video - how do you mount smaller items like weapons or heads/helmets?
