Warm Grey Worn Leather

Hey everyone! Hope everyone’s having a good beginning of the week. If not - maybe this will make it better!

Here’s the latest tutorial and it’s about painting warm grey worn leather. Let’s get into it!

1. Basecoat with a 1-1 mix of Black and Warm Grey from AK Interactive, layer consistency. It usually takes 2 layers to get a good, even finish.

2. Add an edge highlight with Warm Grey over the edges of the cape. Edge highlights should be done with layer consistency, almost always and certainly in this case.

3. Add a glaze of Warm Grey over the entire surface. Glaze consistency = paint mixed in a 1:3 ratio with water. This will the basecoat and edge highlight together.

4. Start adding small scratches using Warm Grey all over the edge highlights and next to them. Similarly to edge highlights, scratches should be done with layer consistency. Use the tip of your brush to do this.

5. Add a glaze of a 1:1 mix of black and Rhinox Hide towards the top part of the cape.

6. Add a glaze of black towards the top part of the cape.

Here are the final results:

I really hope you like it.

This is the first tutorial of the week and there is more to come 🤗🙂

Keep casting those spells!

Cheers,
