Hive Fleet Kraken Tyranids: Iconic 3rd Edition Paint Scheme

Hi there fellow Wizards and Necromancers!

In the third tutorial of the week, we take a look at painitng Tyranids in the classic Hive Fleet Kraken paint scheme. This paint scheme was the main Hive Fleet theme back in the 3rd Edition, in the legendary times of the Beige-Red Bugs! With Tyranids being the main enemies of the 40K Imperium and so many new amazing bug miniatures being released, I thought it would be a good idea to cover this topic here for you all!

Here are the paints used:

1) Ushabti Bone for the basecoat and highlights.

2) Kreig Khaki (with Contrast Medium) for the shading.

3) Contrast Medium.

4) Seraphim Sepia Shade (with Contrast Medium) for the shading.

5) Mephiston Red for the basecoat of the carapace.

6) Evil Sunz Scarlet for the highlights of the carapace.

7) Troll Slayer Orange for the highlights of the carapace.

8) Ivory from AK Interactive for the teeth.

9) White for the extreme highlights.

10) Yriel Yellow for the eyes.

11) Black for the shading.
