Hello everyone! Just a small update thingy~

Lately I've been a bit dissatisfied with the quality of my sketches, specifically commissions and patron ones. The sketches I've done on a whim and indulgent stuff for myself comes out a lot better. By nature that's understandable as I've doodled my sonas probably 10 times as much as any other individual character, so their forms are just more familiar and I can make them look great with a few strokes.

I've found myself favoring the look of my sketches without any of the extra layers I've been putting on as a form of faux shading. The extra stuff is nice, but it takes a while to make it look consistent with other sketches and often times I feel it detracts from the sketch itself.

With that said, I'd like to experiment stylistically with single layer sketches. I believe that would be the next step in getting the quality of my sketches to improve beyond what they look like now. I've been relying too much on additional layers to do the hard work of creating depth and form to my drawings and this is a way of forcing me to improve sorta. x3

So moving forward, my sketches will be inconsistent and probably messy as I'll be experimenting with this new style. This'll mostly effect Sketch tier folk the most since they're getting the most from me in terms of sketches. My end goal is to have a sketch that looks like a complete piece rather than an unfinished stepping stone.
