Yeah what Aang did was, to me, uncharacteristic and didn't show much empathy. But then again we do understand that he had lost almost everyone he loves and knows from his past and would hate to lose more people he loves.

2017-09-28 22:56:30 +0000 UTCWhat Aang did is wrong(and was hard to watch), but to his credit he came clean on his own(it would have been much worse if they'd found out some other way(kind of like what happened to Lord Friendzone on Game of Thrones). Then you don't know if they're really sorry or only sorry because they were caught). He wavered, but did the right thing on his own. The only reason they knew he'd kept it from them is because he owned up to his mistake.
