True, but it doesn't drastically change anything in him physically was the point I was trying to make. It's more of a mental and spiritual boost, causing him to bend the elements at a larger scale/ at a faster rate. He doesn't become superman all of a sudden.

It does increase his raw bending power. It’s not just knowledge. It increases his attack power and, subsequently, his ability to defend with his bending, but he doesn’t get an increased ability to survive direct hits.

Thanks for the reaction Akasan! But yeah the Avatar state is called that because it is more of a "state of mind" than a Super Saiyan form. Aang doesn't get superhuman strength or sense, but he gains the same level of knowledge all the past avatars had all at once to the point where it's almost like he is all of them at once... So he's a lot smarter about how to bend things in different ways, but he's technically still Aang.

I like Azula's play here. In some of my fave anime's (like sailor moon and stuff), the villain stands back in awe and let's the protagonist complete their transformation sequence. Azula subverts this trope by seeing an opening and immediately taking it, so she doesn't HAVE to fight Aang in his boss form. When you said in the past that you didn't like good Zuko, I was wondering if you would cheer him on in this episode. lolllll you did not disappoint

The Avatar State only increases Aang's power and not his protection. Usually this is not a problem because while he is in the avatar state, everyone is getting shit on, but Azula saw the advantage and took it.

Jump right into season 3 it's going contain even more important character development and the action scenes are awesome your jaw is going to drop multiple times throughout the 3rd season.
