This week's update
Added 2017-09-04 00:50:32 +0000 UTCHello Patrons! Just got back from Toronto and FanExpo! It was a blast. Sadly I didn't get a ton of footage, but the reality is-- most folk don't wanna watch that anyway.
So let's go over the week's plan and our own plans for the future.
First up, we've got a special snack unboxing that Tiff handled this week. It's Munchpak, which collects a host of fun snacks from around the world! We're testing out the limits of our old series Junk Drawer, handing reigns over to Tiff and seeing what variety we can bring to the channel. I know she's got some big stuff planned for Batman Day! Next we'll have Off the Rack, wrapping up Secret Empire. Ugh. That should be fun, I guess. In any case it'll be a fun conversation. Elseworlds returns this week in earnest as we chat about a topic I'm close to figuring out. Being with Joel this weekend gave us some great ideas, and I'm looking forward to trying them out with you! And of course Back Issues is coming out. It's about the first mini-series about the Ragin' Cajun himself: GAMBIT! We're finally doing the Gambit solo series on Back Issues, and it's one of my new favorites. Hope you like it! Then we've got a new Letters Page and it's back to the drawing board.
Comic Line is pretty much back. We'll be alternating CL and OTR until October, when we're going to figure out the next phase of that plan. I think the current plan is to just do both shows, honestly. Because I have the most time on my hands, we'll be seeing a return of our more image-and-editing-heavy shows like Recommended Reading and Casting Calls. This allows room for the stuff we like filming like Back Issues, Comic Line, Off the Rack, Letters Page, maybe even Comic Fights. Plus Junk Drawer and more! There is so much awesome going on.
Also be on the lookout for me at Baltimore Comic Con this month! Yeah, I'm going.
That's all for now, folks! We are so lucky to have you and let us keep doing this. Toronto was amazing, and I'm happy to say it looks like we might increase our convention appearances. And that's all thanks to you. But first and foremost-- new and better videos. We hope you like what's coming. It's thanks to you.
Yours,
Sal
