Finally, Saturday will be the return of Savage Screen, where we'll be providing commentary for Batman: The Animated Series Season 1 Episode 22: Joker's Favor; the first on-screen appearance of Harley Quinn!

I'm really psyched for this much stuff coming out. Hope you are, too!

We shot two episodes today. Birds of Prey and Silver Surfer: Black. SSB won't be for awhile (hopefully) since we have much bigger books on the slate after BoP. Honestly, after shooting BoP we thought maybe we should have kept the big book train rolling, but we set out with a plan: big books and tie-in books to larger media releases. So if there's a movie, there's a connection to our channel. And I don't know if they'll ever make another Birds of Prey movie again, and without a movie I honestly doubt we'd ever do another Birds of Prey comic on Back Issues. So this was really the only opportunity to do it. But it's scary because the past 4 weeks have been "hits" on the show. Illuminati was unexpectedly great. Justice League did pretty well. HoX and PoX was huge. And Heroes in Crisis brought in a bunch of new viewers and is on track for a great episode in terms of reception and views! It would have probably made sense to keep going with those books, which would have continued with Dark Nights Metal and Spider-Man Life Story. That said, honestly... After BoP you can bet we're going to try to jump into Metal. The sequel's been announced, it's a massive comic, everyone wants to see it, and hopefully it'll get us back on track after what we expect to be a very low performing episode. I don't want to sound negative, but that's what we're expecting. But I've been wrong before! Look at Illuminati. I was super reticent to release that, and in fact sat on it for weeks. So you never know!

Oh, and you probably noticed Letters Page is back. This is the last episode we shot before jumping back into it. So I'm expecting to either film another massive episode or split it up and make a few episodes out of the year-long haul we have from you incredibly generous members of the POPulaton. We'll see.

Savage Screen will also be continuing, almost certainly with the first episode of DC Universe's Harley Quinn animated series. I just love the show, so I really want to record some of it. After that, I think we'll roll back to X-Men over on Disney Plus.
