Back Issues until February 2021

Gang, I am having a hell of a time going through the schedule for the year. The movie releases completely left me in the wind to twist around because there's nothing (and I mean NOTHING) to break up the releases. And with some of our success comes a little added pressure, because according to many of you we've been "crushing it" lately with Back Issues. So I'm looking over our library, and what we need to add to the library, and what's coming out, and what trends I can try to predict and maaaaaaan.... Lemme tellya. It's a nightmare.

I'm talking a schedule from here until February. I'm talking the most ambitious books I've never had any intention of reading. I'm talking scraping the bottom of the Batman barrel for the most critically acclaimed stories to break up the fan-servicy stuff. I'm talking about forgetting that there are comics I actually WANT to talk about, both good and bad, and finding out with the last version of the schedule I was making I wouldn't get to them till 2021. So I threw it all away, and I'm going over it again. This time, I'm trying to find what's big, what's new, and what I WANT to talk about. Trust me, it makes the show better. But wow, this was daunting. Maybe it was looking at what to do for a Christmas episode and I'm sitting here in Spring going, "Why am I wracking my brain over a Christmas episode right now?" Ugh.

It's the best job in the world, and there's no real problems, here. But man do I hate scheduling.

I'm just keeping my fingers crossed for Dredd vs Aliens. Someday that dream will come true!

I feel you. I have been wondering this because part of the 'crushing it' compliments I have noticed is coming from new releases which can't work long term - unless they do Heroes in Crisis 2 haha. I mean I love the lesser known stories. I have found out about stories I can't believe I didn't know existed from back issues

As someone who is an editor himself, I totally understand where you're coming from. Even though my edits are supposed to be "inspired" and "in the moment", I end up putting in older ideas on the schedule before any new ones. I have some videos planned out for November despite not knowing which ones I'm making next month
