This week's update!

So after the Baltimore Comic Con thing we hosted, we decided to give everyone a kind of ComicPop break and only release two videos; the GBU about Marvel's Dracula and our Halloween Dr. Strange episode. I think that was the right call to make, given how the episodes ended up performing. I'm thankful people seemed to enjoy both episodes, and I think given the recent YouTube changes that favor older videos, both of them will eventually get back up to where their companion shows' numbers are.

This week we're bringing back Off the Rack as you could probably see from the post. We'll be covering the Three Jokers finale and like a billion other books. I hope it isn't a two hour episode, but I think many of you might forgive us given the absence of the show for a week. I have to say, I've really missed being live. Off the Rack with Tiff will be live, but the Tom King interview on Tuesday is pre-recorded and, of course, already up for many of you here. So it's going to be OTR, EE, and then Back Issues this week. As you can tell, we did Giant Size X-Men #1, which was a lot of fun. From Gwen Stacy to Galactus, I really like doing these classic Marvel stories from 40+ years ago. They read like a Marvel book today, they provide endless context, and they're a ton of fun to riff about. Come to think of it, I think the Kree/Skrull War might have been our oldest book before then? Anyway, hope you like it! It's a fun episode and even comes in under an hour!

So once we're back to normal when it comes to updates and views, we'll be able to branch back out and release some additional shows later in the week. We have a couple of Drawing episodes, we have a Junji Ito GBU that should have gone out last week but, again, thanks to BCC it would have done horribly. Now there's some breathing room so I can edit that and get it out sometime around Thanksgiving. We also shot an episode as many of you saw of Three Jokers, which was just shy of three hours to shoot. The first issue was a little over an hour, and I've got that cut down to about 30 minutes, so I'm feeling really good about how long Three Jokers will end up, without sacrificing funny or insightful observations. I'd also like to revisit the book with the group in a Comic Line soon, so we'll see how much people can stand Three Jokers.

If you're a fan of channel aesthetics, you also might notice Tiff changed our channel header. I'd been trying to get something I liked for awhile, but I realized we desperately needed a schedule printed "above the fold" so newcomers knew what was happening and when. Tiff sat down the other day and created the custom background and the header itself. I liked it so much, we also incorporated it into a new overlay for Elseworlds Exchange. We now have two. They look the same, but have different color scehemes, so it'll look like Elseworlds, but when we have an interview it'll be a different color. It debuts with Tom King and hopefully this will satisfy a problem I've personally had for months if not years-- a visual style for Elseworlds Exchange.

We've also been internally talking about/toying with a redesign of the logo and more, and I think we're closer than ever for that transition. I wouldn't expect it right away, but I'm hopeful we can get that in sometime before 2021. Oh yeah! And the Death of Superman parody shirts are back in the store for a little while, so grab 'em while you can!

So that's about it! Make sure to vote and stay safe out there!
