Great chat - I love a discussion about continuity. I don' t care about plot or narrative continuity, but I believe in staying true to the spirit of characters as they were envisioned by their creators. I feel we need to honor those who built all of this, particularly given how frequently creators don't get the credit they're owed, or, just as often are straight up discarded (Bill Finger or Russ Heath, for example). That said, the idea of an "omniverse," where everything - even contradictory stuff - "counts," is appealing - at least no one's hard work will be cast out. In a sense, it's DC finally throwing up its hands and saying " whatever, it ALL happened, we cant wrangle this century's worth of crap anymore !" I'm fine with that, and though I'm sure we could all pick out stuff we'd rather NOT have happened, I 'll take the totality over some editor picking for me.
