Cut out all the bullshit with the clone of luke, but, the thing that made it so strong was this guy comes in and fights back the new republic through tactics, not like force bullshit, and it emphasizes that strategy still matters. And yeah the timeline may have advanced beyond then, but you still could do it, he is an alien, if you say they live a long time, people will just shrug and say sure. Point is, you need good fiction that does not rely purely on the space wizard aspect, it is best in small doses, this would help, if they do right
