This week's update

Hi Folks! Welcome to a new week at ComicPOP! If you have a look around, you may notice a few changes. First up, we made a lower tier that helps out the channel a lot and has a name: the Event Age!

Second, we made a much higher tier. The reason for this is because we had the idea to try expanding rewards we were capable of actually producing, and I think we can effectively make a few of these a month. These ComicPOP boxes are going to be basically stuff we have in the studio, and for your first box we'll send over a signed mini-poster of the team! It's silly, and I don't know how long it'll last, but for now there are 2/3 spots open to test it out!

So we released the "lost" episode of Back Issues Spider-Man: Family Business. This used to be on Comicstorian about four years ago. Maybe it helped grow the channel. I'd like to think it did. But recently they went through a brand shift and site cleanup and unlisted a ton of videos that aren't related to their content, which means this episode. So we figured it was time to bring it back to the family. Hope you enjoy! Nearly every single episode of Back Issues is now back home, for you hardcore members!

Off the Rack should be live today, but we're working out what it'll be about. Absolutely Superman: Year One from Frank, but I'm kind of leaning towards talking about on its own. Could be fun on its own, actually.

Working on expanding our podcast footprint a lot, also! Right now the full-on podcasts we produce are Off the Rack and Elseworlds Exchange. Back Issues kinda counts but no audio-only, Comic Line is too infrequent and gets lumped in with Elseworlds, and that's about it (except for our Patreon-exclusive series One Shots, which only YOU can hear!). But I'm planning a new artistically-driven show that's a mix of our old Big Shots idea and talking specifically about comic book art. Thoughts?

Elseworlds will be live with Ethan this week if it all works out. Not sure the topic yet, though. Next week, however, we have Jack from RLM back to talk Spidey!

Back Issues this week is really dumb. I saw this issue and had to buy it, I read it that day, and instantly regretted it. We then shot our second-shortest episode yet-- The Incredible Hulk vs Venom. It's just awful. It's been awhile since we've done something like this, so I hope you enjoy how it comes out.

Also for those of you who like the Spider-Man game, we have so much more of that series coming. And I think releasing two episodes a week isn't a bad idea given just how many there are. Hope you're enjoying them! And if you are, maybe you'll like our Twitch streams on Wednesdays and Sundays! Go to twitch.tv/comicpoptv to hang with Tiff for a few hours!

We launched that new drawing show and I love how it came out, and it performed miserably compared to a lot of stuff out there. I'm really disappointed overall, and I'm actually a little confused as well. We're still going to try to make more, but it makes me wonder if there's something wrong with our channel in particular. We're going to start shooting a huge new show in a week or two, and the low numbers on the drawing show make me really concerned about trying anything, much less something as big as this. Stay tuned.

Thanks for everything, gang. You're truly making this channel continue to innovate, adjust, and continue to soldier forward. Thanks to you, when a show disappoints in numbers we just keep going. We don't need to pull a "all hands on deck" and try to figure out what will save our numbers. We can just try again later on, or try something new anyway. Thank you all!

Talk soon, folks! Hope all is well on your end.

Sal

I watched the drawing show, for my part, was fun trying to remember some of the characters, I wish you luck, man, love the content.

Patches

I agree. I really enjoyed and was thinking about drawing along with the next episode.

The Forgotten Kami

I loved the drawing episode. It was unique and fun. Guess because its unique it didnt circulate as much as things like Back Issues. I'd love to see another episode ^-^
