Great article. It is what they have been trying to achieve with all their reboots a clean slate. Sorry to be a naysayer but I think the main problem with DC having an ultimate universe is the people in charge they would not be able to stop themselves from tinkering with it. All it would take is one writer working on a story in the prime continuity to cross their story over with the ultimate continuity and then everyone would be doing the same. After that the ultimate continuity is just another parallel universe and it’s subject to the same reboots that it was created to avoid.
