2025-08-26 05:30:06 +0000 UTCI am personally of the opinion that Darmanitan in this game is analogous in danger to almost every Blaziken in Run&Bun. It's even scarier in Rising Ruby where Tabitha has one and it always has insane coverage. You fight it three times and I've never not sacced something to it. Once in Meteor Falls, once on Mt Chimney, and once in Weather Institute. It's fast, hits way too hard with sheer force life orb, has ridiculous coverage, and basically only dies to fast water types that are too frail to switch into it safely. Plus flare blitz hits so hard that it's almost always an overlapping range, even on mons that resist it. That thing is a demon, especially when playing with no evs, weather, setup or substitute. My only consistent answer is almost always either Starmie or Sharpedo, and low speed Sharpedo is sometimes a speed tie because it has 30ivs on top of everything else.
