Goddess Maker Mechanic: BETRAYAL

In Goddess Maker, a central mechanic of the gameplay is working alongside your goddess-wannabe lab partner who possesses feelings of her own and acts upon it.

Due to this external autonomy, the partner character’s responses are not obedient when the player is in a position of management.

Rather,  you are dealing with a part-cooperative, part-combative being who expresses herself through own self-interest and will act unpredictable when the underlining circumstances suit it.

Ergo, throughout the experience of Goddess Maker, you will be working with a partner character who can betray you.

Looking at this mechanic and through the comments, I feel like this game keeps getting better and better, I hope this game achieves greatness, I have to play this once I am back to apartment cause now I am home with my... parents... Keep up the great work m8 !!!

Who said anything about Squandering? Just need to find the right moment, and proceed to take over with the girl/goddess as my toy!

Yeah, squandering the opportunity to become a god and watching another seize the power for themselves and then experiencing the feeling to be under their perspective is quite the emotional trip.

Hey, as long as the Iron's Hot.

Mechanically, lustful manipulation by the partner character occurs only as a way to cause the player character to feel humility, therefore stunting the player’s height growth and weakening their dominance position, but not treated as an in-game betrayal by the partner. Otherwise external lustful manipulation, as an external betrayal, occurs in routes typically where the partner character doesn’t become beautiful and another woman appears to meddle in the affairs.

I'm more of the dominant side, but I'm generally not exactly one for betraying others (even if it's in my best interest of doing such). That said, dominance through lustful manipulation and dominance through betrayal are two different things (and I'm more the person who goes for the former than the latter.) Thus, I'm rather intrigued with the "External Forces" factor - if I want to ensure my dominance, sometimes I will bend my knee if it means something else doesn't intervene.

What I like the most about the Dominance System that I’m developing is the idea of possessing power, managing a facility, and managing your partner is significantly more of burden in terms of the leadership choices you make, than the easier route of allowing the partner character be dominate one and you yielding to the decisions she makes for you. It’s a good dilemma to have as it’s speaks to the player’s character of pursuing an uphill battle to secure your destiny or preferring to be under the comfort of another.

Personally in my playthrough, I deliberately pick choices that lower PC dominance
