Goddess Maker Q&A Volume 1 (July 28th to September 10th)

Introduction:

I been receiving a lot of questions after the release of Goddess Maker A.0, so I decided to compile them into one thread for documented convenience and to spread awareness to the commonly asked questions.

For future reference, I plan to make posts like these as a form of closure and as a soft farewell to the current demo, as it will be soon be replaced by something new and different. 

Note that all the questions have been paraphrased for anonymity.



GODDESS MAKER EXPECTATIONS:

Q: I want to Make a Male God, can I still do that even if the game is Marketed towards Making a Goddess?

A: Goddess Maker is both a Hyper Feminine and Hyper Masculine Ascension Experience, the term “Goddess Maker” refers to the player character’s role of being the Arbitrator of Ascension, rather than a certainty of the partner character’s fate.

Ergo, the player character can be the dominate one and become a god without the partner character becoming a goddess.

Q: Concerning Goddess Maker’s Height Growth Mechanic, what is the Max Size that a player should expect?

A: For Human, it's locked at 10 feet. For God, it's Omnipresent + Extradimensional.

Q: Are there Other Attribute Growths apart from Height?

A: There are seven points of growth in Goddess Maker: Height, Intelligence, Strength (Male Exclusive), Beauty (Female Exclusive), Breast Size (Female Exclusive), Penis Size (Male Exclusive), and Soul.

Q: Will Goddess Maker feature both Imperial and Metric Measurements?

A: Yes. Just keep in mind that mechanically speaking, height difference is separated by degrees of imperial measurements; and breast size / penis size are separated by degrees of metric measurements.

Q: Will the Partner Character’s Sprite Change, when her Attributes Change? Or is it solely numbers based?

A: Both. The player gets to watch the partner character's breasts get bigger and see the partner character grow more beautiful over time, not exclusively tied to one another since those stats are on a cross spectrum of giving the player the possibility to stumble upon a flat chested beauty or a big tiddy tomboy. Intelligence growth, on the other hand, is purely numbers and description based given the context.

Q: Does the Partner Character have Outfit options?

A: The partner character will have outfits that fit with the atmosphere of the game sections, each with multiple variations of each due to the beauty + breast size combinations.

Currently for the “Lab of God” section, the main planned outfits are Casual (A whole assortment of different outfits that are meant to emphasis attributes), Lab Coat (Worn during work), and Night Gown (Worn before and after going to bed).

Q: When the Player Character has Sex with the Partner Character can you Describe the Visuals, including Mention of Attribute Modifications?

A: The animation will be 2D, although not too complicated, mostly a bed bouncing loop from the point of view of the player character looking upon the partner character close up, with interchangeable animated assets like breast size and hair length, similar to how a lot of flash games used to do it back in the day. 

In sex scenes, the player character will be less visualized, but more expressed from the reaction given by the partner character, like reacting differently to the size of the penis inside of her and the strength of your thrusts, as compared to her own stats. 

But it ultimately depends on the scenario, like if the player’s penis is bigger than the whole of the partner’s body, a unique kind of sex scene that exaggerates the sizes will play out.

Q: Will the Partner Character occasionally at times become Extra Lustful?

A: There are plans for a Horny/Heat mechanic where after every certain amount of days, a Horny/Heat status effect is activated per the individual character.

Q: Will the Player see what the Player Character looks like?

A: In general, the player character has a canon appearance; however, the intentional design choice is to defer the player character’s description as the player behind the screen, unless when completely necessary like standing in front of the mirror for observation purposes.

Q: Can you reveal to me a bit about Goddess Maker’s Worldbuilding?

A: Goddess Maker is set in a world much like our own in the months following a World War III armistice, that fractured the world’s superpowers into smaller regional states. 

Given that the majority of the worldbuilding applies to a few planned ascension routes, Goddess Maker isn’t a game that really puts in a lot of stock in its worldbuilding.

Narrative focused games such as Project SDS and Project Goddess Playground have a lot more thought considering their worldbuilding, as opposed to Project Binary Ascension.

Q: What will you do to improve Goddess Maker’s current pacing?

A: I’m overhauling the brainstorming system to not expend work shifts and progressing towards implementing Custom UI efficiencies.

Q: Tell me about Goddess Maker’s replayability? 

A: Goddess Maker has a route system designed for multiple playthroughs, with the second playthrough onwards using a faster new game plus pace.

Q: Since Goddess Maker is Route-Based will you add a Tree Graph like Other Route-Based Visual Novel Games?

A: Sure I’ll add a tree graph system that nodes the start of every route change, so one could revisit it easily. The issue is given the gameplay, these nodes would need to be far apart. 

Probably a degree that resembles my height chart groupings like Natural Group -> Growth Group -> Cosmic Group -> Infinity Group.

Q: Please Explain how the Pre-Ascension Human Fetishization Section “Lab of God” Connects to those that Focus on a Character Ascending to Godhood.

A: Basically, Goddess Maker is a route-based game with new game plus pacing expectations, where the gameplay radically shifts when meeting the criteria to hop over to a new section of the game.

For example, if one of your playthroughs of the “Lab of God” section, meets the requirements to build a machine that transforms the main characters into slime versions of themselves; this unlocks a new section of the game where’s you’re playing as a slime competing with the partner slime character to accumulate enough matter in order pave a path toward godhood through that ascension mechanism.

Furthermore, if you interested in the general segmentation of the routes, for most playthroughs it’s: Human Life to Developing an Ascension Mechanism -> Using the Ascension Mechanism to become a God -> Experience a God becoming Omnipotent.

But it’s generally laid out more like this: 

-First Segment is an open flow of gameplay to trigger the criteria for a route change. (Lab of God)

-Second Segment is more focused flow of gameplay to reach an ending of limited possibilities.

-And finally, the Third Segment is the interactive epilogue, with its gameplay focused around the lasting and irrevocable consequences brought about by the second segment.

Most Ascension storylines only do the second segment, but I plan to offer a more complete package that includes fetishizing pre-ascension humanity and fetishizing what life is like after a god is born.

Q: If you are Focusing Currently on Content that is Restricted to Human Limitations, is the Giantess Content being held back?

A: It depends on your tastes, the “Lab of God” section has a height spectrum between 1 inch to 10 feet, as well as giantess content through dream events. However, the interactive absurd spectrum of growth from 10 feet to omnipresence is exclusive to future Ascension Sections.

Unless of course, fanservice content is commissioned to developed that can tie your event to a descriptive giantess scenario.

Q: Will there be a Path toward Godhood through Magical Means?

A: There are plans for an ascension route in where the player and partner character to go to a different reality with magical laws of physics that they can exploit to become gods.



GODDESS MAKER MECHANICAL QUESTIONS:

Q: What Happened?! I Drank an Energy Drink and it had Handicapped my Next Day’s Research Progress!

A: When your intelligence speed is out of whack, due to frequently over-consuming energy drinks for a 4x times temporary increase, but at the temporary cost of halving your preceding intelligence speed the next day, withdrawing/detoxing from daily energy drink consumption will eventually stabilize your intelligence speed level to the base 16 hertz (or in practice the 16 research points you would usually receive when not under the influence of caffeine).

Q: How does the Rep System between the Player and Partner Character work?

A: If the current Lab Rep makes too many mistakes, then at the end of day discussion the Lab Rep position is flipped between characters.

Note that this is a temporary system preluding the Dominance System.

Q: How does the Dominance System between the Player and Partner Character work?

A: It’s completely based off the degree of height difference between the characters, in where the greater the degree of difference, the more privileges one receives.

And like the Rep System, the dominance levels formally change during the end of day discussion.

Q: What do the “+” and “-” symbols represent in the Random Event Choices for Dominance?

A: Dominance is on a spectrum between the player and the partner “+” is going your way, “-“ is going her way. In practice, it would nullify or boost height growth from the nutrients intake in order to change the degree of size difference.

 

Q: How does the Relationship System between the Player and Partner Character work?

A: Treat the partner character positively and the Relationship System Level rises, treat the partner character negatively and the Relationship System Level declines.

A good relationship positions the player and partner character as a couple, a middle relationship positions them as coworkers/rivals, and a bad relationship positions them as enemies.

Formal changes to the Relationship System occur during the between work shifts break.

Q: How do you unlock Goddess Maker Demo A.1’s Debug Mode?

A: Debug Mode is unlocked by first completing the game’s demo, then an icon will appear allowing for the player to change character stats like height.



GODDESS MAKER PHILOSOPHICAL QUESTIONS:

Q: What’s your Design Philosophy concerning the Post-Day Negative Effects after Consuming an Energy Drink?

A: My design philosophy when concerning this system is to pre-empt the player with the benefits and consequences of nutrient intake prior to the real deal, as I think most players would connect the logic of the gameplay to their real life experiences with caffeine, where both overindulging and complete withdrawal have proceeding negative consequences and so they must learn to moderate with the limitations of their supply.

Q: What’s with the Random Events forcing the player with hard choices?

A: It’s purposeful that certain random events place the player in a situation where they need to make a tough decision, sorta like a board game. 

Concerning the long form consequences that result from the choices your make, there are still a lot opportunities for the player to will where they end up in contrast to the partner, especially once the darker side of experimentation is able to be accessed. 

Q: Please Describe the Ethos of the Player Character and Partner Character.

A: The partner character is defined by her conviction of wanting to become an omnipotent goddess, whilst the player character is the tabula rasa reaction to the partner character’s antics and has more potential for character development as he is the link to the player behind the screen. 

Both come from a doomed bleak background; however, while the player character subjected himself to expect nothing, the partner character decided she wanted all.

Q: What’s the Moral Code for Goddess Maker?

A: Existentialist.



GODDESS MAKER DEVELOPMENT QUESTIONS:

Q: How do you develop future releases?

A: First, I sit down and jot down bullet points of what is in my immediate vicinity to develop, then based on the general audience vocalized desires I prioritize what should be developed, then after a period of time I set my timeframe to target a certain release date.

Q: Are you afraid of the Overambitious Nature of your projects?

A: Not necessarily, even if it takes years, I want this to be my career akin to other company missions, but instead of a mass produced plastic product, I want to be the vanguard that makes Ascension Fetish Games.

That being said, the only reason I would stop would be financial; but I have faith that there is much money to raise online, as I did some prior research and was confident with the numbers of similar projects.

Q: I want help develop Goddess Maker, what should I do?

A: First, you should take a day or two to consider about developing an Ascension Simulator-style game yourself, as that motivation should primarily be harnessed to better your own resume and to build something that is your own. 

If you contemplated this and still wish to provide your assistance, we’ll talk in private and I’ll find a task for you to do that reflects your desires.

Once I feel financially assured, I’ll make a demo. In my development plan for Goddess Maker, I hope to eventually make the full “Lab of God” section as the game’s free demo, while the Ascension Routes and God Sections being premium content. That way a player could transfer their save data to the full game. But as of today, I’m still developing the “Lab of God” section.

A goddess is strong, but the strength comes from their size, rather than their appearance. As one cannot exert force that is far greater than their own mass. Male gods are handsome but their looks are an emphasis of their strength stat. Chiseled jaws, statuesque bodies, these are qualities that exert strength.

Strength and beauty being gender specific is kind of a surprise since a goddess in my mind would definitely also be super strong and a male god would be super handsome. But everything else Seems great. I'll gladly wait to play this game
