Ahh yes Alien stage!! The first two girls, Mizi (pink hair) and Sua (black hair) were more than friends. (I believe they're both lesbians if I recall correctly?) Which makes them being paired up all the more heart breaking. The assumption is that they were aiming to tie during the round, but Mizi got one point higher than Sua by accident. The series is not a happy one, but it's very captivating and the songs are all great! There are comics and stuff too that expand on the story.
