I hope you are well! :-)
This month marks the 20th anniversary of the legendary Processing software and programming language. A lot has happened since its release in 2001. Processing has set an important milestone in the world of art and design by opening up a whole new creative approach to the field of programming. In doing so, it also played a key role in coining the term “creative coding,” which I believe has the potential to change the way we humans think about technology and the culture with which we approach it.
To celebrate this very special anniversary with you, I will be broadcasting a public Youtube livestream on August 21, 2021 as part of “Processing Community Day”. For this, I have invited great guests (Patrik Hübner, Vera van de Seyp, Martin Lorenz (TwoPoints.Net) and Sander Sturing (Studio Dumbar)) and put together a program of talks and live coding sessions for you. Mark your calendars and tune in on Saturday, August 21. I’m really looking forward to it!
