Poll: What kind of content would you like to see in the future on my Patreon?🦻
Added 2021-08-17 19:08:45 +0000 UTCDear friends,
I'm currently revising my content strategy because I want to involve you and the whole community much more in the process. I'll be sharing more exclusive content on Patreon in the near future, because that way I'll be much closer to you, and I'd be very happy if you'd give me feedback in between on what you particularly liked and what I can do even better.
I would also like to know what formats and content you find particularly helpful, useful and valuable.
Just leave me a comment with some ideas. I would really appreciate it!
Thanks and greetings!
Tim

Hi Austin, nice to meet you and thanks for your feedback. I think Reverse-engineering requires a lot of basic knowledge and I guess that understanding the core principles will help you to reach your goal. Are there any specific visuals that you have in mind here?

2021-08-20 20:19:54 +0000 UTCHiya! I found with your tutorials, it was easy to get through them, but the more complex examples were harder to reverse engineer... I'd love to get better at this reverse engineering process. Are there approaches to looking at a complex work so I can break it down to understand how to structure a code. I feel this re-creating is helpful for practice!

2021-08-20 17:09:02 +0000 UTCHi Sarah! ✋That's a good point. I think feedback sessions via zoom could be quite helpful. The problem is that the community is spread in different timezones which makes it impossible to find a date that suits all. I will think about this. Thanks for your feedback! 🙏

2021-08-20 09:51:46 +0000 UTCHey Tim! I'd like to see feedback sessions on a few exercises - we could submit the code until a certain deadline and you pick one or multiple to point out improvements/better ways to do things

2021-08-19 23:00:41 +0000 UTCI think for you it would be great to take a look at my course "Mastering the For-Loop" after you have done some Bauhaus-excercises. And afterwards the "Images and Pixels" will help you to understand how to work with image-data in Processing and how to rasterize it. The course "Typemachines" explains how to work with typography in Processing. So if you combine these concept you will have the toolset you are looking for.

2021-08-18 05:25:14 +0000 UTCHey Justin! Thanks for your feedback! That's exactly what i have thought about too and yesterday i have posted a new long tutorial video here on Patreon. Did you see it? I think i will call this format "Coding Sessions".

2021-08-18 05:22:14 +0000 UTCIn the last year I’ve really enjoyed your long videos. In particular the wave demo and programming posters? Do you have more in you? Would one of those per month or every couple months be too much of a stretch?

2021-08-18 00:35:24 +0000 UTCThanks Tim. Yes, along those lines.. I know there complex but I like to start out from the basics and learn and expand

2021-08-17 22:01:31 +0000 UTCHi Robert! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! The idea of typographic portraits is indeed very interesting! I would like to point you to the work of Gottfried Jäger who create "Generative Photography". https://lr-develop.de/gottfried-jaeger/ That's what immediately came to my mind!

2021-08-17 20:28:32 +0000 UTCHi Tim. I am a professional photographer and brand new to processing code. I am 80 years old ( got hooked into coding by my daughter). I am intrigued to learn to incorporate a mixture of different types of photography creating different forms of Generative Art. Such as portraits created by text, lines etc. I see this type of Art non-existence,I feel it needs to be explored and promoted .
