Hi folks! 🙌
I hope you are well. Today I send you an update again. A lot has happened in the last days. The most important in short:
ASCII Adventures is out now!
Finally it's done: ASCII Adventure is now completely finished! I'm super happy with the result and have learned a lot again during the development of the course. This time I got some help: Albert helped me with editing and reviewing the lessons and James edited the teaser. I will outsource such tasks in the future, as I can then focus more on the content work.
I would be very happy about your feedback. What do you think of the course?
DEMO Festival 2022 recap
I wrote a long blogpost about the DEMO Festival. Here's the link.
Don't update Mac OS yet
In the Discord server Julian Hespenheide has pointed out that there is currently a problem with running Processing in P3D mode on M1 computers from Apple that are already updated to the latest Mac OS Ventura. Please wait with the update to Mac OS Ventura if possible, the Processing developers are already working on fixing the problem.
From Processing to hybrid courses for both Processing and p5.js
The technical problem with Mac OS Ventura gave me a great idea: What if I would extend my courses so that they also work for p5.js? After thinking this through once, it occurred to me that this could be done with relatively little effort on my part. I think I'm going to set my sights on this for the next few weeks. Also, because I will give some block seminars for p5.js at the FH Bielefeld next semester.
Next stop: Form follows Music
After ASCII Adventures, I'm taking on the course Form follows Music. Actually, it should have been finished long ago, but unfortunately some things have been postponed again. I will adjust the roadmap accordingly.
