Dear Creative Coders, 🌞
there’s one thing that I have learnt in almost six years of teaching Creative Coding in universities, giving workshops and meeting patrons: It’s hard to learn only by watching tutorial videos and online courses. The knowledge does not stick, it disappears after a short period of time. I could imagine that most of you might struggle with this, right? What’s the trick to finally start getting creative instead of just consuming content? The answer is actually quite simple: What you need is a project, small or large, something that you can build. That’s the way! And that’s why I have created a new section for the website, a collection of small and large assignments for Creative Coding. I call this section „Challenges“. Right now it is just a list of many empty posts, the feature is a messy construction site. But over the next months I want to fill it with more detailed briefings, helpful resources, internal links to the right courses etc.

I hope you enjoy the new feature! And as always, I am excited to discuss these ideas with you. Feel free to leave a comment before you go creating something with code.
Enjoy your weekend! 🌴
