Hey Creative Coders, 👋
here comes another exploration from the realms of custom design tools. This time I've experimented with a special and very popular library for Processing called controlP5, to build a few basic User Interface elements. It's very powerful and has many UI elements in it's repertoire. I've seen people building crazy applications with it. Just check out this case study of Kevin Koch's final design project.
But there is a little drawback: The library did not get any updates since eight years. That's a long time and since Processing sometimes changes under the hood to catch up with more recent Java versions. The library still works great, but it can happen that such an old piece of software will not be compatible anymore at some point.
But don't take these concerns too serious and enjoy this tutorial!
I wish you a great weekend! ☀️
