He definitely has strong feelings for Danny, and they're easily confused with romantic feelings (which only confuses him further). But it's just nice to be able to write such adorable interactions and genuine platonic love.

We should expect to see Sarah advertising her dominatrix services on the internet any moment now. I've been waiting for the discovery of someone else on or around the island who has the same figure-8 tattoo as Mr. Smith. Maybe on the opposite arm -- which Danny will suddenly remember from the glimpse he got. Of course, maybe Messrs. Smith and Byrne simply swing both ways. We're all waiting for the big proposal scene.
