At the idea of skinny dipping, I saw all of our 8 friends in a naked punishment. But Mr Rudd is wise to not let this happen as long as room 1.01 have their issues. On the other hand, to demonstrate that collective naked punishments are really an option...

2024-06-19 08:27:22 +0000 UTCThe UK has been tinkering with its academic systems quite a lot in recent years. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GCSE for some information about the lower level examination programs. Those who want to attend university go on to study for and take A-levels (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A-level) in subjects they choose based on where they want to end up. Context is often required in order to figure out how "college" is being used in a British school setting. After GCSEs, students pursuing A-levels may often continue into a "sixth-form college" which may be part of the same school they had been attending or may be different. Sixth form often covers two years, referred to as "lower sixth" and "upper sixth," but apparently there are exceptions to this. The whole thing can be kind of bewildering. It also seems to me to conflate education with test preparation, because a student interested in more subjects than are required for university admission has to weigh whether to take time away from the most crucial areas of A-level exams in order to study other things. At the same time, British universities are often composed of various "colleges" which adds to the confusion.

Cared enough to give Danny a chance with Chris. That is the ultimate sacrifice. So I was thinking back to my comment about measurements (I think prior chapter) and I noticed I do the same thing with other stuff…for the longest time I would read the word “football” and be all excited only to realize time and time again it was soccer. UGH! Now it’s almost automatic that I know which sport is being referenced. Then the school differences always use to throw me for a loop…took me forever to finally convert Yr 7 to 6th grade and so. I still don’t get what GCSE’s(?) are and then I read in other British based stories the term A-Levels…neither of those I can relate too. I’ve asked British work colleagues and usually get little clarification, with several saying the came up through an older/different? system. Plus I only recently realized the word “College” is used completely different, where we use college/university interchangeably. I think I understand college to collectively be Yrs 7-13, but maybe I’m off on that too. I’ve been reading Nifty and other sites almost since Nifty’s inception back in the 90’s. I’ve followed many authors and story arcs. I have to say the Kingswood and Matt are at the top of that very long list of reading.
