Greetings lovely patrons. I'm back from a brief break and eager to get stuck back into my stories, so I figured I would update you on what's going on, including a note about pricing for iOS users!!

Patreon Charges on iOS

Apple are making changes to how subscriptions through iOS work. They're increasing charges substantially and patreon creators are being given two options:

1. Increase the charge for iOS subscriber (effectively meaning people whose subscription goes through the Apple Store pay more to cover the increase, and I still get paid the same amount) 

or

2. Keep the charges the same (meaning the extra money Apple gets comes out of my earnings!)

For me, my patreon page has never been about making money. It was always intended to be (and still is) a nice way for me to make a bit extra from my favourite hobby. The money I make on here goes towards my writing - paying for extra time off so I can write more, improving writing workspace or equipment etc.

So with that in mind, my main thought is that I don't want anyone to have to pay more than anyone else for accessing the same thing - it's why I got rid of the tiered membership system! However, before I make any final decision, I wanted to get some info on how it would affect my patrons. As such, please can you take the poll found by clicking here to help me gather some info.

The Kingswood Complication

I can't believe book four is already quarter of the way through!! Time is really flying. Thank you all for your ongoing comments and feedback. I love seeing your thoughts and reactions, as well as your predictions and sicussions on it. Obviously the big drama of the year is now well-known (I won't say anything here, in case anyone's not up-to-date) but reaction to it has been as emptional as I expected.

It's safe to say there are plenty more twists and turns ahead, but as I said before the story started, it's a slightly darker tale, but please keep in mind there is light ahead! It's not ALL doom and gloom, I promise!

The Kingswood Amelioration

Speaking of having lighter times ahead, book five is turning out to be an absolute joy to write. All of the characters are getting some wonderful moments, and not just big story points, but also the quiet, fun moments of interaction with each other. I could honestly write endless pages of these characters just sitting around and chatting because I enjoy them that much!

My recent mini-break has also inspired some quite fun story ideas which I'm already in the process of including in the story. While I'm excited to see reactions to the drama of book four, I'm equally excited to see you all (hopefully) enjoy the happiness of book five!

Kingswood Behind-The-Scenes

I suppose this is more a question than news, but occasionally I do writing exercises to help me understand the characters better. During book four, I wrote a short questionnaire of ten questions and then answered them in-character, as each of the main eight boys. I'm in the process of doing another one with different questions as a way of helping myself understand them now they're a year older. None of it is world-shaking information, it's just things baout personal preferences and interests - little things that help round them out as people in my head.

My question to you - Is this something any of you would enjoy reading? If so, I'll happily post it as some bonus content at some point. Let me know your thoughts!

Daring Kai

The end is nigh! With part 48 posted this week, that leaves just two parts to go! So much left to resolve! What will happen at the party? Who ends up with whom and, most importantly, will Kai ever have any more dares? All this and more in the final two parts, coming 20 and 27 August! Keep your feedback coming. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on the end of the story.

The Humiliation Games 2

This is a very annoying story for me! I have as much prepared as I can for it, but I'm at the point now where I can't actually write anything until it starts posting and I start getting your votes!

While it's obviously my aim to make every humiliation enjoyable and memorable, a couple in particular are really active in my mind and I'm just desperatrely hoping the voting goes the way I want, but that is the joy of the interactive stories... I don't know what will happen!

The story will be set during the 247th annual Humiliation Games, which for for those of you who don't recall (and I'd be shocked if you do) places it five years after the first story. There's no particular reason I have skipped that far ahead. I just didn't want it to be set the year right after the first story, for various reasons.

It will feature:

• 14 new 'volunteers' (yes, 14 this time, not 12 - all will be revealed)

• Two new hosts - Eduardo Flores and Thedore Montegue, aka 'Eddy and Teddy'

• A new, mischievous receptionist (who you have already met in the announcement post)

• Two new Heads of the competing houses -

• 12 new demonic advisors, each with their own unique styles and suggestions for the humiliations - including one unfamiliar familiar face...

• The unfortunate losers of the 246th Humiliation Games, enduring the final day of their year-long humiliation!

It's bigger, it's (hopefully) better and it's coming soon...
