While the attire in both cases is designed to get a person into the right headspace to enjoy their fantasy, pup play and furries are very different things in terms of the “game being played.” My observation is that there’s a very different dynamic and set of protocols for pups compared to furries. It’s much better to talk to people who are into that fetish. I think you’ll find that most people who are into it are very forthcoming if you ask them.

Usually they don’t wear collars, which is one way to tell. Nik has one on, but it’s more part of a uniform than a formal collar given to him by a handler. So, as a Leatherman, the visual cues to me would indicate that he’s a pack leader.

A lot of people have more range to them than just being one or the other. And being dom or sub technically is independent from being a top, a bottom, or vers. As for his position preference, Nik is vers, just like Finn, but he doesn't get the chance to bottom as much cause most of his clients and dates push him in the top role. So in other words, he would love to get to be a dom (or even sometimes sub) bottom every once in a while, but he rarely gets the chance. I hope that helps!
