The Evil Queen
from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
Snow White has always been one of my favorite Disney movies and all my favorite scenes are the ones where Queen Grimhilde does magic. When she summons the slave in the mirror or when she transforms into the old hag... I think I'm due for a rewatch.
I feel like she's underappreciated as a villain and her color scheme is one of the best imho. So for these reasons, I decided to put two of my boys in her cosplay. Also, it was a great excuse to do something featuring a mirror with the Park brothers.

2022-10-19 17:28:51 +0000 UTCAbsolutely. Even by today's standards, Disney's Snow White is a masterclass in animation regardless of how simple it's storytelling is. People too often point out the problems with it in their modern eye, overlooking the amazing technical achievement this movie is/was. (heck, animators still have a hard time doing half-decent rotoscoping nowadays π)

Obviously we discussed the not-so-savory elements, but we also went back and watched all the old movies and learned how impressive they were! Snow White in particular was done in a very unique manner that I for one couldnβt DREAM of replicating.
