As the model for red, Darryl stands for action and passion, the drive to go on, to reach for your dreams, and also a healthy mind in a healthy body. For him, Pride is about allowing yourself to go for what makes you happy, to move forward without stopping, never giving up when things get difficult. It's about taking control of your narrative and writing your own story.
So red stands for life, yes, but more importantly, it stands for everything that makes life worth living: your aspirations, your dreams, your passions. It reminds us that we have lives worth living and worth fighting for, even when things get dark, especially when things get dark.
