Melvor Idle: Expansion 2 - First Details

Greetings!

Today, I bring you the first details of what to expect from Expansion 2. We've been working on this one since the release of Throne of the Herald, and it's safe to say we've been cooking up some delicious new content.

This is only a brief summary of what to expect, and won't contain details of each addition. Those are reserved for next week's Patreon announcement ;)

What to expect in Expansion 2

Here's what you can expect with this next expansion:

• 2 brand new Skills - One of them being our most technically ambitious Skill to date. These Skills will have a max level of 120 (Does not require Throne of the Herald).
• 1 brand new official Gamemode.
• 500+ new Items.
• 50+ new Monsters.
• A brand new Combat mechanic that will require new items to tackle.
• New Combat Prayer Book with unique mechanics - Sorry, no Skilling Prayers in this one. We have plenty of Skilling bonuses, especially with the new Skills additions.
• 9 new Combat Areas,
• 2 new Slayer Areas,
• 6 new Dungeons
• New items to create in Smithing, Crafting, Fletching, Runecrafting & Herblore.
• 2 New Trees to cut.
• 2 New Mining veins to mine.
• Probably more to be added over the test period.

Other Expansion 2 Information

Expansion 2 does not require Throne of the Herald.

Expansion 2 does not contain new content for Throne of the Herald, or any content that specifically requires Level 100+ with the exception of the two new Skills. This Expansion adds new content for Level 1-99 only, and is designed to change how Players experience content through natural progression of the game.

For those who begin a new character with this expansion, we expect your progression will be drastically different with all the new content being added.

This Expansion also does not come with a free content update. Originally, Township Part 2 was planned to be released alongside this as free content. However, due to the Township rework, this content update was pushed back to a later date.

I'll have more details next week regarding the Test server and in-depth details on the new Skills.
