Balls To The Wall
Added 2016-08-14 01:05:10 +0000 UTCSometimes you do an act that cannot be faked, that you either go balls to the wall, 110% whole ass or you go home. Last night, I challenged myself to do an act just like that. The show theme was "Raunchy" so I did a cover of Danzig's "Mother" and a mash up of Notorious BIG's "Party and Bullshit" and Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA". There was no story (well, the Mother act was kind of Shakespearean and yet another 'damn this mourning is making me horny' number), just hotness and confidence and pure raunch and it. Felt. Wonderful. The audience roared so loud it hurt my ears. I dropped to my knees so hard that they're skinned and covered in bruises. It was amazing and to be honest I kind of needed that kick. While my technical skills in burlesque have improved over the years, I feel like lately I've been coasting on that and lacking in the passion that used to drive me. Last night's show was the kick in the pants I needed to bring the fire. And bring it I did.
