My day has consisted of working at Cannabis City 10am-6, taking an hour break to smoke and decompress, have a Hot Fawking production meeting for a few hours before coming home to discover my power was out from the storm. Fortunately, as I was sitting in my car waiting for my phone to charge up a bit I saw the lights in my neighborhood come on. I've taken it as a sign and as I am making myself dinner and prepping to work for the length of a movie on production work, I'm realizing that psyching myself up is working. I'm taking pains to carve time for rest and self care, but that also means rolling up my sleeves and not allowing myself to become distracted when it is time to work. It has definitely been an adjustment period, but I think this balance is absolutely feasible. I am excited for what the future holds.
