Although the ends of the hair ended up square, I really liked the final result.
I thought about doing this on my next hair, which avoids that transparency problem. However, I want your opinion (I know there are many people who don't like maxi hair)

I like it. I tend to mix both maxis and alpha anyway and this is perfect.
