Seasons Updates

I'll be all over Seasons this evening, but I've been quietly updating areas of the guide. Over the next months getting everything from all game packs and expansions incorporated into all the major areas is my primary goal, but of course covering entirely new things like the gardening career must be top priority. This morning to prepare for that, I updated the death guide as I feel it's more important to warn people about how Sims might die. It had been forgotten for some time which I'm not proud of, but feel that it is never too late to right things and make the guide much better.

I hate to admit that I almost quit about a year ago, and that's why some things weren't there. I still love doing this but after having been on The Sims for 9 years, I guess I suffered from some burnout. Naturally there were things in my personal life that also got in my way and I have to say that I didn't enjoy gaming at all. Recently I beat God of War and started a fresh save in Sims 4. I think I'm back to liking gaming which is an essential ingredient if you are going to write about them.

Just thought I'd let people know I'm still at it and looking forward to the next few weeks of coverage. Seasons doesn't have those big gameplay elements you need a guide for, like skills, but it does bring in the opportunity to sprinkle more little facts throughout the whole site.

Means a lot to me, thank you Sarah

Carl's Sim Guides

I guess we all go through this to some degree don't we. I have more of an obligation to write due to my web presence, but my experience is not at all unique. You just need a break from a game sometimes to enjoy it. And to write well on a game you need to be having fun to share that experience with others :)

I appreciate you a whole lot! Thank you

Life has its ebbs and flows. I've been playing The Sims since the Sims 1 (started with the base game an Livin' Large). I've gotten every Sims game, expansion pack, stuff pack, etc since then. Its always been a way to make myself not think about work or the real world to unwind. But, depending on what's been going on in my life, there have been months, even a year one time, when I didn't play at all. I love your site. It is so helpful and it's obvious how much work you have put into it. Thanks for everything and glad you are back in the game (so to speak)!
