My mods are kept compatible with the latest patches and do not break frequently. To see which mods need updated check my Mod Status and Links Post where you can also find support.
Patch Notes v1.13 - March 6, 2024:
Fixed tunings so that no specific packs are needed for functionality.
Patch Notes v1.12:
Fixed Retail Craftery interfering with the Wild Foxes Lot Challenge.
Patch Notes v1.11:
Fixed strings for all languages.
Patch Notes v1.1:
Fixed the mod, as Sims were not ringing up at registers correctly and featured generally poor behavior.
Fixed a bug that was causing LE issues with other businesses, such as Wicked Whims' strip clubs feature. This should make the 2 mods compatible.
Changed to zip format as some people's version of my mod was completely broken due to browsers corrupting files.
Retail Reloaded V1.0 Release:
Tend Register is a new interaction on cash registers. Use it to man the register, and customers will get in line to check out when done shopping.
Assign to Register is also available on registers and will let you pick an employee to man it.
The Retail Craftery Lot Challenge is available under Lot Challenges (click the trophy in lot traits). This will disable restocking for all crafted objects, only.
Retail Craftery gives a slight bonus to low-priced goods to make them more profitable, scaling with value.
Employees may still slack (and thus leave job duties) but a bit less frequently.
Employee starting skill levels are toned down, and high levels (only) take a bit longer to reach. This is a balance decision for the progression system to not be ruined.
Employees - Elders will no longer appear in the list of possible employees. Their back pain is too severe, apparently.
Customers who are browsing goods in a store with low-value items (example: bakery) will no longer need so much goading to buy something. They get bonus purchase interest if the markup is not too high.
Customers will tend to purchase something they browsed. If you see them inspecting a high-value item, this will let you go in for the kill! Apply your salesmanship at a prime moment, and they're more likely to buy something expensive.
Customer price ranges better reflect the store they are in. If your goods are under their minimum price range, it will adapt to meet the average of your goods.
Customers that are Celebrities will no longer bring Paparazzi with them. They're banned.
Customers that are Celebrities will be less likely to use interactions such as hype that cause all Sims to react.
Customers are less likely to get stuck doing nothing but chatting.
You do not need to meet a customer to use retail socials. This fixes celebrities, but also eliminates some clicking which is always welcome, i'm sure.
To help further reduce click-clickity clicking, we have a Set All for Sale and Not for Sale interaction on tables/displays that will iterate over all objects and mark them, reducing clicking by up to 80%!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Ensure script mods are on in Game Options > Other. Also, if your browser downloads this like a zip file, use right click and Save As. This is usually best to avoid file corruption issues!

Do you think it would be possible for you to separate the different features for this mod? For example, if we just want the 'set all for sale part, we can have that and not the rest. If not I totally understand!

2025-08-13 01:14:57 +0000 UTCI dunno if you will see this, I want to be able to buy Sales Tables at a shop. I tried putting them on a sales tarp and it didn't work. For realism, I want my homeless sims to save up money to go buy the sales table so they can sell found items. Even RVSN's phone app doesn't have the sales tables! I've asked her too and she doesn't get the reason for it. And I swear the Park Ranger kiosks used to have them listed, but they aren't there anymore :(

2025-08-01 13:04:39 +0000 UTCI have created a mod to encourage customers to shop faster that is compatible with this one. https://www.patreon.com/posts/120271898 Unfortunately there are a few outstanding bugs with Retail Reloaded. Hoping to see an update sometime soon. Most notably i see sims doing inappropriate behaviors constantly. I can ring customers up at the register but the employees basically don't behave anymore, either.

I already have some retail mods running but that is one thing that I've always wanted (that bloody restock sign is a headache to click on all the time!) I made retail craftery to mostly allow you to do things like woodworking and actually sell those objects one at a time as I felt it was pretty lame how it was working originally. I've had this mod a long time and I never had that issue until the latest update from March.

I am running a grocery store (I have your mod) and my profits are terrible because sims only buy one item at a time, which isn't very realistic. It would be AMAZING, if sims bought various amounts of your products, like a big grocery haul, or just getting a few items for a recipe, ya know, like in real life.

I did use the download link in this post. I have tried unzipping and putting the folder in the Mods folder and I have tried to only put the two files in the Mods folder.

2024-03-13 19:18:21 +0000 UTCIt's not "broken" in a sense but I haven't continued to develop it due to how deep in the weeds I got with Dine Out. I'd LOVE to revisit this mod with my new knowledge. I have to do an update of it here soon just to make sure players who do not own certain packs can use any custom interactions, but I really hope to update some of my older stuff eventually.

Edit: After watching her demo video she explains that her mod is a custom script and does not use any of the GTW features. Therefore, it shouldn't conflict with your retail mods.

2022-11-21 23:13:17 +0000 UTCThis mod works fine for me exept some small things. My hired personell leaves the tend register position. And just slacking off. I would like them to stay there. Or rush back when another customer is ready. Even my own played sim is suddenlig not tending register. Look into this and add the option to add household to do stuff like tending and or cleaning would be awesome. How bout a lot trait where the played sim would autonomous bake, craft or paint. And the option to choose where created item should be placed. Now we are talkin retail! (edit) One more thing! I added the mod customers wait forever, to solve the slacking off issue. But then my employee didnt bother to show up for work anymore. Could that be to many sims on lot issue? He is usually one of the first to show up.

Right now, we think it's because of some simple tuning errors that are not game-breaking. It just throws a warning out because it doesn't (and can't) know for sure the severity of the problems. I know how to handle it after our talk, but you should be able to play fine with my mods. It's a warning that mainly exists for super outdated stuff.

I don't think my script is this unreliable but it really sounds like nothing is working at all! Hopefully it is a corruption error or the script is not able to run for whatever reason.

The customers just stand around with carts above their heads and finally get upset and leave. What an I doing wrong?
