Hey! love your mods but im so annoyed with EA's new July updates Hosts and chefs have not been spawning in owned and non owned restaurants. I have downloaded your most recent version of the mods which seems to be working just fine with no issues- but there are still no restaurant chefs and hosts!

One semi-related question - I have everything completely automated without any workers except 1 waiter to clean dishes. would it be possible to have an option for either of the following? 1. They are supposed to be about 40% entertainment/60% restaurant if you use it in a functioning restaurant. It could be just a bad roll of the dice or the restaurant needs to be bigger. At 5 stars with advertising it should be a very hopping place. I'm not sure if the customer count multiplier or adding more tables might help your situation. Thanks for the kind words!

You're the best <3 Your content has truly improved a broken pack and I love the restaurant system. I had one question regarding the restaurant options versus entertainment/bar. When you turn on the entertainment/bar option, at least in my game, I ended up having no regular diners enter the restaurant. Instead, sims exclusively went to the bar area. Is this option a one or the other choice? Can restaurants not benefit from bars/entertainment areas?

Its safe to assume it isn't, Carl has never exactly been the forerunner of keeping things updated, he is known for leaving vital fixes for mods behind permanent paywalls and not maintaining communication with paying members.

Tuning errors are generally non-serious. Sorry I missed this comment. While I don't like them, them appearing is just something to fix so that the game doesn't have to auto-correct the tuning error. I went through and cleaned up a bunch in the last update but these should be notifications to modders, not players unless trying to find a broken mod.

Mine still work. I have had players have some outdated mods that interfere with scripts, and this causes various employees to not show. I don't know what all mods can cause it.. i can just say that in my version, it does work, and they show reliably.

I'm having the same issue with my chef even using the base restaurants that come with Dine Out. My chef will show up for 1-2 shifts and then never again, as soon as they enter the lot they leave. I've tried the 50/50 method on my mods folder and use the Better Exceptions mod to try and weed out any broken or out of date mods I missed. I love this mod but it sucks that I basically have to run my restaurant from home instead of being on the lot.

I am downloading 4. I had 3.3. The problem I have been having is that when I visit an eating establishment, I no longer can order, it is ordered for me. I do not know know I have a setting wrong, but I am looking for the gameplay where I am shown to my table, order my food from the menu and then it is delivered.

Do you use a lot of other mods? Some of them can interfere. Players can also use things like the moveobjects cheat that can make Sims have failures using tables/chef stations and other vital functions. I cannot know what is going wrong to cause this because there are too many variables, but my mod is not "very buggy" on its own. *Something* is going on to cause issues you have here, but I can't be sure without having a look at your restaurant and/or what other mods you may have installed that could be interrupting functionality. No problem for late answer! Yeah I got it solved now, I tried the customer count multiplier and it worked! Also when my restaurant went up for 4 stars, more customers came in! Thanks ♥️ now there is one problem: only me as a chef get dishes done, my two other chefs just cook but never finishes a dish. I what can I do?

Sorry for the delayed response here. I am not sure if this could be related to star rating at all? Early on there is not much buzz. Using advertising + star rating and the hours as you noticed will all boost customers. You can also use the customer count multiplier setting.

Hi! So I tried the mod again in different hours (8 a.m. - 4 pm) and (6 p.m.- 3 a.m.) still only like 3-4 customers showed up. This isn't normal. Without the mod, all is fine, there is much more customers. There must be something going on. Otherwise the mod is working fine and in other restaurants there is customers, but not in your own restaurant. I read someone else had this problem too?

Hey! So, bar customers don't care about hours very much but normal diners totally do. If you have it open outside peak hours (noon to 9pm or so) then you are going to see very few diners. Sims are just like IRL and are scheduled to come during peak dining hours. I am not 100% sure this is the reason, but most of the time it is.

Hi! Love the mod, but I´m having a little issue with it. There are not many customers coming to my restaurant, only three or four. And if more sims come, they only go to the bar to order a drink (I have the bar is entertaintment on) and don´t order food. I kept my restaurant open for 12 h and only 3-6 sim come to the restaurant. Am I doing something wrong?

This is an EA bug that I fixed in the last update. It is related to fame system and Sims not being able to be created in NPC restaurants. There can be other things that could cause it, but for most players it's EA's "fix" to fame that causes employees of various venues to not show up for work.

Possible some kind of backup software/error has caused an older version of the config file or mod to appear in your mods folder? Delete the dine out reloaded settings file and it will regenerate.

I love this mod !! Idk if im doing something wrong but when I enable the entertainment option all of the sims go over the bar for drinks, I tought we could have both, some that drink at the bar and the rest will sit to eat but in a 8h shift I had maybe 3 sims sitting down to eat and looots of sim over at the bar. Is there a way to balance the feature ? Maybe limit the ppl at the bar to like 4 ? (since we can only have 4 stools) or could you point me where I can find that in the options or what should I disable/enable ? Thank you in advance !

While I do understand your frustration, my mod works. Something is either conflicting, or there is an installation issue. If you look into your Sims 4 mods folder, and my mod didn't create a log file and settings file (so 2 files becomes 4) then it was never even able to start up and something is wrong with the install. Delete both the ts4script/package files in your mods folder and replace them with the new ones in the update zip file :)

This is likely to be a compatibility issue with another mod. I have full control over the customer situations in my script, but if something else overrides sim spawning or customer stuff, it could conflict and stop dine out reloaded from spawning them. I can't be sure what mod it could be.

The restaurant may need re-placed. The game is buggy in some area when loading up lots and creates bad data. I don't fully understand it, but it will confuse if the restaurant is owned or not. It's something in the backend I haven't been able to figure out just yet.

hi there! your mod has made restaurants way more enjoyable so thanks so much for that! however, recently i'm having an issue where when my sims go to a restaurant to eat as customers, the hosts and waiters stay around for maybe 20 seconds before running off the lot, then new one's spawn but they do the same thing. i'm unsure if this is an issue with the mod or just a general game mod but, i figured i'd ask to see if anyone else is having this problem!

Fixed a bug some players had reported around multiple courses based on some input from players experiencing it. It should make guests as reliable as they were in v3 in terms of how well they complete the multiple courses before moving on :)

They are probably claiming it. I would turn on the sous chef system, and set your own chef station as player chef station. This will make you claim all the orders and sous chef will knock required steps off the recipes. So they will help continuously.

Hello again, so I went to Discord and the suggestion I got there definitely helped! Thank you! One quick question though, I am wondering how does the game spawn guests, is the amount of guest everyday fully set based on star rating and advertising? dose it mean that if I have the extra standard diners set to 6, while getting larger groups, I'm also getting less number of groups everyday? not sure if I worded it right, like the total amout of 5-star is 20 guests, witch means either 5 groups of 4 sims or 10 groups of 2 sims? Sorry to bother you again, I am on a mission to make my very big restaurant as packed as possible XD

Carl, great mod. Thanks! Anyone have a tip for cooking alongside a hired chef. When I try to cook in the kitchen I will make one of the ordered dishes and from then on out every dish will come from the cook I hired and I will never plate another dish.

OK, so after a lot of testing with every way I can think of, I think the problem is with the three courses, customer have a lot of glitch with the second order, they could ignore the food they already got and continue to complain about waiting, or the waiter sometimes ignore their request to the second order, or they could finish all their food and still sit there all day long. I switched it off and only serve the main course, then everything works fine. I will play this way now, which is totally fine by me since the main reason I'm using v4.0 is the additional staff, but if somehow this get fixed in the future, then I will definitely enjoy playing with the three courses, oh by the way, the customer count multiplier works like a charm, you are wonderful for doing it, and done it so quickly, I am truly grateful for all your wonderful work! Your mod is the reason I can have the restaurant that I wanted.

Just now added a new update with a customer count multiplier setting which will help with that problem (grab that download v4.02). I'm not sure what might be interfering here, but something most definitely is. Sims order and go into eat, then they have a literal timer to leave.. so something's breaking it. After another try, the guest not leaving issue is happening to everyone, and also they don't do anything else except eating. I have a 5-star restaurant and with the diamond advertising plan, still I don't get enough costumers. Everything else seems fine, I really enjoyed it, you completely improved my dine out play experience, thank you.

Thank you for the quick response, I am going to look into it, I definitely used the MOO cheat every time I bulit something. And since you are here, a couple of things I noticed with my first try with the V4.0, first, I noticed the same issue with Paige Smith above, guest sometimes just sits there with the main dish (I have the three course all turned on), and they sometimes don't leave after eating, so they just sit there all day long. I also notice a decrease in customer number than the V3.3, but after reading your response above, I know it was intended as a bug fix, but I do like the big custom number since I have a big restaurant, so you definitely get my vote on bringing it back : ). Other than those couple things, everything else runs smoothly, thank you for your wonderful work!

This might be purely how the game is tuned based upon hours. Overnight hours, the customer count multiple gets cut to only 15% of your star rating. It peaks at 11am and from 5-7pm. Is it possible you are seeing a lot less customers during the hours when people would not be slamming a restaurant IRL? Just checking this, as it's very much a thing. The tuning is set such that at: 1-star : 5 2-star: 7 3-star: 10 4-star: 14 5-star: 20 and this is all multiplied by up to double with the diamond advertising package. It's intended that higher star restaurants don't have to use as expensive advertising as having 40 sims with double is beyond most pc's capabilities.

Is moveobjects on possibly used on anything they might dump the dishes into? Or on any tables they might be trying to clean? Sometimes players want them closer to the wall than the game intends them to be when picking things up. I know a looot of players use MOO so it's the first thing that comes to mind.

I'm looking into this. I fixed a bug in the previous version that was spawning double the intended customers. Turns out people liked it, so I think I am going to offer you all a multiplier that goes beyond advertising and increases the max available diners. For people with pcs that can handle it, of course.

Hello, newcomer here, really grateful for your work, been using it since I started playing dine out. One little thing, is it possible for you to make a cheat that make the empty dishes simply disappear, so the staff don't have to clean it? My staff sometimes get stuck when cleaning, and I don't know why. Hi! I love your mod, but I'm having an issue with the amount of customers. For some reason, my restaurant is only spawning 1-2 dining groups. I increased the maximum sims in a zone using MCCC, but I'm still having the same issue. Is there a setting in the mod for maximum customers at a time?

Not sure what might have broken your host! they normally immediately target the host station and walk straight to it. It's possible you could try deleting and replacing it as the game does assign relationships to some objects though I'm unsure atm if the host does this. Waiters is very odd. It makes me worried the guests are not really going into the order state. So happy to try this out! I'm having issues though. The waiters mostly stand idle and don't tend the guests much. They mostly clean dishes while I have to take orders, but they do deliver the orders so that's good! The biggest issue I have is that the host does nothing. They spawn but they stand idle outside, my host spent the entire 8 hour shift doing this. Is there something in the settings that I might have missed? I've gone over it a few times but no luck.

One thing we can do, is i can try your save myself as it will help me to determine if it's save or a mod, since i have none of your mods. I can also take a look at a log and / or make a custom one so I can have a look and see how many the restaurant is expecting to make.

I'm investigating both of those. They don't happen in every restaurant but it's some type of autonomy issue. They are explicitly told not to stand while waiting for or eating food. I don't have the issues myself, but I'm working with a couple testers to try to iron out why it happens and how it can be fully eliminated.

It does eliminate bad behaviors and bugs that can occur in any restaurant. Player orders can still disappear under the right conditions, so yep.

Does this Mod make visiting restaurants better too? I haven't played running a restaurant in years. Just visit them for a night out or dating.

Tried this new download today. I have main dish and dessert enabled. I noticed that some customers will just sit there with the main dish on the table and not eat at all and/or just continue looking at the menu. Also some customers will just stand up for no reason at the table.

There are no dumb questions! Yes, you will extract the files from inside the zip to your mods folder and make sure both enable custom content/mods and script mods are turned on in game options > other :)
