This is the only song on the Relapse album that Em did not let Dr. Dre produce, as Dre did the rest of the album. I love this song so much for so many reasons.

Dre wasn't making these beats, this was Em/Rick Rubin production era and i didn't like them mostly but the meanings and the lyrics were so tough, especially for what I Was going through at that time. Just watched and Stevie didn't trash Em at all. Yeah this is a track I will usually skip myself (only listened to it 5K times). Em's story is usually what I listen for but the chorus, beat, and overall sound is a drag...coming from a year 2000 - present, 1 Em concert kinda die hard fan (looking for more Em concerts)

This song would be more impactful (and make for a better reaction) if Stevie was going through some serious self conscious doubts about himself as a person. There was a point in time where I listened to Beautiful on repeat. But now, I just appreciate it for what it is.

Just because he doesn't like the beat and says its trash (even though I personally like it) doesn't mean he is saying Eminem is trash or what Em is saying is trash - in this song. Stevie does some songs I really don't personally care for, and that is ok. I will still watch it with an open mind. He actually got me in to liking some of the songs I never cared for before I watched the video. I am still here for it. Eminem literally sings his raps in this one so while it might not be your thing its actually a very musical song. Compare the chorus of this to some real trashy mumble rap and you'll see what I mean. This song speaks to many on a personal level and to any listener; its both the music and the melody that help deliver Ems words on this one. Obviously, Stevie has his right to his opinion but so does anybody that felt stung when he made that comment. It stung me. But that's how music is. It's undeniably subjective. Even great songs miss some even when it hits the majority. In this case, it didn't miss Stevie, he's just not sonically into Em's melodic/ melancholic side, but he did get the message. But my overall point is, this beat, in particular, wasn't meant to be hard. It was meant to carry his vulnerability at the moment. That's why its a great track. Its honest, through and through.

It was a very prominent era in his rap career and that’s why this song is on a lot of people’s favorite Em song list. They either relate to it personally or relate to Em’s emotional state at that time. I can see why you wouldn’t like it that much since you’re more used to a bar heavy, shock rap, battle mode Em. Still love your genuine reactions though! Maybe give the beat another listen, I actually really enjoy it... however this is art and it is subjective! Great work!
