Ya got to hear the podcast joe explains the Eminem situation he gets a little heated it's really good

Megan Klobchar

Didn't mean to hit send. Point is, when things don't go right, Em regroups, buckles down, works hard, figures out a new direction, and executes it. Joe generally just complains. Em financed Glasshouse, which was their next album. Joel and Royce spent months working on it, Crook here and there, Joe was mostly unavailable, then blamed Em even though he was completely hands off this time. I don't think Joe has a very good character

Liviakai

Joe forgets that Eminem blew himself up AGAIN in 2010. Em was gone for 5 yrs, put out Relapse (which wasn't well received At All) then immediately made Recovery and dropped it in 2010. It had Not Afraid and Love the Way You Lie, both #1 songs that went diamond, and Recovery was the bestselling global album that year.

Liviakai

I'd add how Em still financed Glasshouse, but was Completely hands off. He heard their fans too, and said get to work on a new one. Joel, Royce, and Crook did, but Joe bailed on them. And Joe Kept talking shit about Em and his features for a while, so Em didn't come out of nowhere on MTBMB. After MTBMB Joe wanted peace and positively with Em, then made fun of his Lose Yourself performance. As you can tell, I've liked him 😂

I think you're both talking about different albums...Royce said that about the first album SH made as a group, not the 1st one they did under Shady. When they signed to Shady, the 1st album they did THERE (but 2nd overall) the label got heavily heavily involved in and wanted to change the direction of the sound to make it more mainstream. Em did the production and mixing himself. When it flopped because it wasn't made for SH fanbase, Em blamed himself real fucking hard. He went 180 and completely stepped back. not just from SH but from the other label artists. He thought the feedback was that his involvement made it too mainstream and 'poppy', so for the 2nd album on Shady (still unreleased because Joe ghosted) he ordered that SH have full creative control and freedom to make THEIR sound (same with others - he generally does little more than a feature since all this happened). Everyone said the album made was fire.....who knows if we ever find out.

alright Stevie let me give you the timeline because it's all over the place: I'll do my best -2009 - Joe reaches out to Joel, Crook, Royce and Nino bless for a feature, song called Slaughterhouse. Internet fucks with it heavy, so the group is formed, minus Nino (check out the song it's dope). Joe squashed his beef with Royce in the making of this song. - Slaughterhouse drop an album (and a mixtape) on an independent label - it's a fucking cult classic. Bars for days. You would love this album - Em sees what Slaugtherhouse is doing, during the time he reconciles with Royce, he signs Slaughterhouse. Circa 2011 - Slaughterhouse drops their 2nd official album 'Welcome to My House" on Shady, and it was poppy trash for the most part. Em and his label messed with the album heavy, they had the best intentions, but they were essentially trying to turn Slaughterhouse into Eminem lite and follow the 'Recovery' Template. It failed - the core fans hated the album and no new fans were gained. The only good thing is we got a mixtape before the album that was basically true to Slaughterhouse' style - Check out the cut Gone for more detail on Joe's unhappiness with Shady's meddling - 2015ish - Eventually Slaughtherhouse falls apart during the making of their 3rd album "Glass House" - Joe essentially refused to make another album on Shady after the previous debacle. During this time he starting his transition to podcasting. This song came out around this time. In 2018, Slaughterhouse is dead and Joe is on Everyday Struggle. He torches Em's song "untouchable" as one of the worst songs he's ever heard (sonically). He even questions em's intentions for making a song about black plight(fucked up right?) Em then comes out with Kamikaze and fires a few shots at Joe on "Fall". Joe says he is retired so won't respond to Em in music(unless Em put out a whole song), so we got a 2hr Podcast of Joe basically outlining how Em fucked over Slaughterhouse in the making of their second album. He raised a lot of really interesting points, but I personally felt he was a bit too angry and emotional to think clearly. In any case, this is when we found out that THIS song was originally meant to be a diss towards Eminem, that's how he started out writing it. Presumably Royce and Joe's team stopped him from doing that, because at the time Eminem was his boss. Joe made it clear that Em and him never had a friendship or relationship outside of music, but he still respected him enough not to diss him at the time, so instead we got this song, which is basically him airing out his grievances while giving props. Fast forward to Music to be murdered by, and Em keeps up the subtle jabs, but by this point Joe has calmed down and so eats the shots and praises Em's album. Beef is dead, and there are rumous that they are trying to work behind the scenes to get some of that unreleased Slaughterhouse stuff released. ..I think that's everything haha

I swear I am getting off the internet soon

React to Haileys revenge ja rule Diss its savage

EnVy316LeGeNd

Nor what Royce Said... remember in the interview he said was in the 1st, they had more control and that each member (Royce, Joe, Crooked, Ortiz) send it a list of final tracks they wanted on the album and tell and they decided tg what to put in... but in the 2nd the Label/Em got involved on the track list.

Peu Oliver Guimarães

They had more liberty to do what they wanted on the second album cause the first album flopped and em was more involved on the first album.

Flovin Fossdalsá

I fuck with this track & joe . . I just have a hard time taking him seriously when 3 yrs after this is released, he basically dedicates his entire platform to trashing Em. So much shit has happened between Slaughterhouse and Em and Joe and Em that at this point tho. . it'd be hard to even explain everything lol

Anna

U shud react to the reup album

Beef_Stu

No Em was not in Slaughterhouse, but since they were signed to Shady recods they prob in the same building/studio a lot, Royce said 1st album they had a loot of liberty on creating and control, Em got more involved on the 2nd album and they collab more, Yealawolf also got involved a lot with them bc they all under Shady Records... the prob with Joe was he got Scru bad on his 1st label/agent, than when he was under shady he wanted more control and stuff so him and Paul bump heads over things, Em prob side more with Paul bc of the History and them start the clash btw Em and Joe, but than Joe start the Podcast and express his opinions and how he was feeeling on air, EM only way Em only know to respond is on Wax. (all thay Slaughterhouse/EM probelms It's a Family Feud if not far Joe may be on EM next prject or EM on Joe Pod)

This is my request I chose for the month

Vision of God

This earned respect for Joe in my book. Never knew this song existed til someone mentioned it in the comments yesterday. Em not part of the group, affiliation is Slaughterhouse = signed to Shady records. ... “I suck at all that Syllable shit”... “Feelings you get”... “Millions and shit”... He doin it tho haha

cr!t!c
