Dre and Jimmy Iovine were smart enough to know that a lot of potential white fans weren't really up on the rappity-rap shit and that a white boy raping like a real rapper probably wouldnt get accepted that well. Stuff like Infinite is what he wanted to do, but that flopped so he came up with the Slim Shady character. He had to get people's attention before he could go back to the rappity-rap stuff. MMLP is a good mix of rap-rap and shock rap with some real stuff mixed in, then The Eminem Show is practically all real issues and rap-rap (plus he made most of the beats on The Eminem Show).

That album is fuckin huge and theres so many classics on there, I agree with you on sslp, as a kid i thought it was cool to hear but id never play it now, but there are so many songs from the eminem show that id still rock today, so undervalued
