2020-10-02 17:56:58 +0000 UTCMy recommendation for the earlier Eminem days is not to focus and look so much for insane super technical complex doubles and triples which he is known for now (although obviously there are some in there). His cadence, flow, and multi-syllable rhyme schemes and story telling is on another level. I know you don't like the shock value shit, but I'd say when it comes to that, focus less on the content of what he is saying (shock value) and more on the internal rhyme schemes he is using to say it. May get more enjoyment out of it. MMLP2 is imo top 5 rap album all time.

Usher has stated he was hugely influenced by MMLP and that lead to Confessions, which is regarded as one of the greatest RnB albums ever. The number of artists who cite this album as a major influence is next level shit.
