Should I re-listen to songs I've heard?
Added 2020-10-04 15:15:01 +0000 UTCSo....I definitely forgot that I reacted to "Kill You" already. Which I find crazy, cuz it definitely felt like I was listening to it for the first time. This Eminem ride I've been on has clearly enhanced the ears and I've become more knowledgeable on topics regarding Em which have made the tracks hit that much harder. That reaction went from 10 min to 20+ minutes on the one I posted yesterday. I'm looking at the MMLP track list and I see songs that I've reacted to already. So, question, should I just re listen to those too?

2021-07-24 17:15:21 +0000 UTCYes please because we all know it takes years to catch everything from Eminem 🤣. I'm a little late and you have already started doing it. I don't know if anyone has told you or you figured it out but Eminem will layer his bars over years! He raps about something and he must already know how its going to tie together but he won't finish it until years later. An example is some bars off Walk on Water off Revival and he ties it all together in Book of Rhymes. He also Did that on his verse Forever and in Fall. I think he didn't say Forever in his verse but the others did so in Fall he says sorry I took forever one meaning was that he actually took Forever to say Forever He weaves threads into his catalog like a master puzzle maker. If you tried to connect all the threads it would need a huge wall like detectives use 🤣

2020-10-09 23:05:15 +0000 UTCYES! Em tracks ALWAYS get better after a few listens and you have so much more knowledge now to understand some bars and rhyme schemes you missed before because you had not dove into the "Marshall Tracks" yet (Songs that gives us Em's real pain and backstory) Nobody is doing this as good and detailed as you Stevie! Keep it up!!!
Dawn Wildman
2020-10-09 02:20:09 +0000 UTCYes, definitely

2020-10-06 01:36:05 +0000 UTCYes! How you see Em, and therefore react to his music, has changed So Much. Now that you know how diverse his content is, you enjoy the shock and goofy Em more. You used to get turned off with a mid beat, now you get so caught up in his flows, the unorthodox structure, wordplay, content, etc you'll say you didn't even notice the beat. That's a Big part of Em's appeal, he forces you to focus on him. You've come to Genuinely Like and Respect Eminem (his history, his politics, his attitude, his honesty and diversity as an artist, etc) and like with anything, that changes how you react to it. Ur even defensive of him now, cuz you see the whole picture. So yes, I'd actually enjoy you rereacting to the songs off this album you already did. Kill You was night and day, lol. And I still love ur honesty when you like and don't like stuff.
Liviakai
2020-10-05 20:22:09 +0000 UTCYes, at least the ones that you did a long time ago. Have been loving your reactions since MTBMB came out and finally decided to join the Patreon family. Looking forward to more content :D

2020-10-05 19:20:02 +0000 UTCnah dont. If people wanna watch those reactions they gotta stop being lazy and look them up lol

2020-10-05 19:02:15 +0000 UTCI'd skip STAN,cause that's been beat to death and maybe way i am since u just did it..but might appreciate it more now like kill u..
Eric Bagetis
2020-10-05 15:34:18 +0000 UTCJo, you definitely should! You especially relisten to Walk on Water and Believe in one row because they are meant to be heard one after another.
balabub
2020-10-05 13:59:07 +0000 UTCI don’t mind. Hey, plenty of Em songs hit me different now than before n vice versa. Depends on age, state of mind, catching new stuff and having a deeper appreciation for his skill talent n dedication. I enjoyed kill you the second time
Gary Raffa
2020-10-05 11:14:28 +0000 UTCYeah, give them a second listen.
Ryan Grant
2020-10-05 10:10:46 +0000 UTCYES! A lot of Em's earlier stuff (mainly MMLP and TES) are personal songs with bars mixed in, knowing more about him as a person and his life makes a HUGE difference in how the songs hit!
DesertKate Walker
2020-10-05 04:55:34 +0000 UTCI think if you felt like you got something new out Kill You then yeah, you should go back and take a look at songs you’ve already reacted to. Also, there is a documentary on Eminem’s upbringing on YouTube. https://youtu.be/kEfIiGiPJ6I
Brandon Scott
2020-10-05 01:49:24 +0000 UTCYes. I took me multiple times to get certain things. Album review... do it.

2020-10-04 20:49:07 +0000 UTCYou have gained a new level of appreciation for MM. I would just do all songs on all albums going forward. SS LP is what it is. Just do your thing going forward even if a relisten track by track.
Stephen Haupt
2020-10-04 20:48:20 +0000 UTCYeah and there is definitely things that you have missed that you wont miss now that you know more about Em
Mr.OLiVER
2020-10-04 20:41:58 +0000 UTCYeah. I think you also have a bit more insight now that you didn't have when you started reacting to Em. Every day it feels like i learn something new about him and its also fun to see you connect the dots. His albums and songs are a continuation and you starting from the beginning allows us to go on the journey with you.
Linda Cele
2020-10-04 20:09:41 +0000 UTCHonestly yes if you think you’ll have a different opinion on them. Your second time reacting to kill you was WAY more hype. Had me smiling from ear to ear watch you connect all the pieces. Theres always things you may catch the second time that you missed the first time!
Shane Snyder
2020-10-04 19:55:10 +0000 UTCYes! Do them all!

2020-10-04 19:50:43 +0000 UTCAbsolutely!! Full album review baby. I don’t mind some repeats if you don’t.

2020-10-04 19:24:55 +0000 UTCI’d watch some MTBMB redo’s with the em ears. You may catch a lot more
Daniel Smith
2020-10-04 19:08:08 +0000 UTCHell yes bro if you're doing a reaction to an album just do it song by song. We're here to see your reaction and what you think about the music and A particular artists. You could listen to a song one time and then listen to it again and understand or catch something totally different that is so profound that it changes everything about it. That reaction was one of the best reactions that I've seen. And hypothetically if you never did it again that enjoyment that we got would have never happened! It was 🔥!
Scott Flaherty
2020-10-04 18:40:41 +0000 UTCLol. Facts. He could do it 10 times, we still gonna watch🤣🤣
scamrasc
2020-10-04 18:14:00 +0000 UTCITCHING for this. Can't wait until he reaches it because I'm so freaking hopeful for a revisit. And to do more tracks. To think that that was Stevie's Eminem introduction😭 I want to see him do aaallll the bar heavy shit again. Like Psychopath Killer. That shit just broke him completely last time🤣
scamrasc
2020-10-04 18:09:55 +0000 UTCNah. Do them in chronological order. He'll get to MMLP2. The point is he wants to see the trajectory. Makes no sense to jump back and forth.
scamrasc
2020-10-04 18:06:09 +0000 UTCYes definitely, but don't skip the skits. I agree with most of the people that you should relisten to music to be murdered by but i would do it like after you've sweeped eminem discography. Imma try to get to that Tier 3 soon for the album review.
Rama Djuhana
2020-10-04 17:58:54 +0000 UTCUnless it's something you did super recently, like The Way I Am. You obviously JUST did that one for E2, so I'd let that slide, but overall there's a lot of tracks you did a few months ago that if you did now you'd catch more or get more enjoyment out of (not just MMLP I'm talking everything) and there's the added bonus of contextualising these things to build a timeline in your head. You've essentially been discovering an artist with a 20+ year career and HUNDREDS of songs for the first time. Gotta keep it straight somehow🤷♀️. Plus how can you do an "album review" if you're skipping half the album from THAT review? It would mean you wouldn't have an accurate view of that album, which eventually skews your vision of that artist and their growth, so why bother doing it then, you know? (I include the skits btw. Some are nonsense comical throwaways but a lot lead into the next track. A perfect eg if how The Kiss leads into Soldier on TES - they're always quick, but sometimes they add to it)
scamrasc
2020-10-04 17:57:57 +0000 UTCYes.
scamrasc
2020-10-04 17:46:47 +0000 UTCIt was cool. I didn’t mind you re-listening to it. This way you can get a feel of the whole album.
Royal Williams
2020-10-04 17:40:16 +0000 UTCListen to it too to bottom, including skits or you can't fully appreciate it.
Dylan Beschoner
2020-10-04 17:35:01 +0000 UTCside note...you should check out "living proof" by Royce and Eminem. It's a bonus track from the bad meets evil album and definitely worth a listen!
Adam McDonald
2020-10-04 17:22:36 +0000 UTCYes!! If you're doing an album review you should do the whole thing even if you've reacted to the songs before.
Adam McDonald
2020-10-04 17:22:07 +0000 UTCListen to intros too
Dylan Walsh
2020-10-04 17:16:37 +0000 UTCI couldn’t agree more! I always find it terribly annoying when people react to an album in random order!
GFX MOD
2020-10-04 17:10:54 +0000 UTCSir Yes Sir! 😜
Sander De Wiest
2020-10-04 17:08:49 +0000 UTCYes, listen to an album front to back. You need to understand a project as a whole in the sequence it was intended.
Plain_23
2020-10-04 17:07:28 +0000 UTCDid you expect a different answer coming from Em fans? Loved today reaction to Kill You so why not?

2020-10-04 16:43:36 +0000 UTCYes sir
Black Mamba831
2020-10-04 16:29:57 +0000 UTCYeah Stevie this reaction here is a testament that you should give the tracks another listen.

2020-10-04 16:23:24 +0000 UTCYES SIR.

2020-10-04 16:20:43 +0000 UTCThinking Stevie was mashed yesterday lol let’s have that Stevie do all the reviews lol

Marlon
2020-10-04 16:16:06 +0000 UTCYes!
Ali Guitron
2020-10-04 16:14:27 +0000 UTCI think you should ... as most of the other reactions were done out of order and younoftwn said you didn't know what album and/or year it was released so will add alot of context.... I suppose as long as you listen to them all on or off camera as you go through the albums I think it will help
Jason Brittain
2020-10-04 16:08:16 +0000 UTCDefinitely re-listen. Eminem designs his album as stories. He puts a lottttt of energy into the song order and concept as a whole. One offs are fine to bump in the car, but for album reactions, I think doing in order is important--especially for his work in particular! Keep it up man. Great work!
Alexander Wheeler
2020-10-04 16:06:39 +0000 UTCAlso. The first time we didn’t get sk super into the chorus having that much fun. Lol
Michael Nielsen
2020-10-04 16:05:23 +0000 UTCHaters say Em’s music ages like milk but yet Stevie reacted to Kill You like it just came out... and just heard it 3 months ago #OmnipotentMusic
Daniel Burton
2020-10-04 16:04:57 +0000 UTCDefinitely would listen again. Make sure to listen to the skits.
Ayo big dawg
2020-10-04 16:02:18 +0000 UTCI say yes. Especially to Stan so you can understand better the parts about his brother Matthew from bad guy. And also the skits make the song punch harder to for like the way I am. Plus the ones you’ve done some have videos to them.
Michael Nielsen
2020-10-04 16:00:44 +0000 UTCI think everybody agrees that we would appreciate it if you do.
Tobias Montana
2020-10-04 15:57:37 +0000 UTCYes, Hard to find a song you enjoy the first listen 🤪 'All i think about - bad meets evil' is a song that i recomend to listen to again, it grew on me like nothing else
Bargard
2020-10-04 15:49:58 +0000 UTCyess coz just like you said you now know a bit more about him so your reactions are different and the songs will hit differently when you go with the flow of the album and the skits before like the way I am
Lilo
2020-10-04 15:49:44 +0000 UTCDo them again. It gives you a chance to really experience the album
adrian pena
2020-10-04 15:49:00 +0000 UTCI think all in all this is just proof of how much we all fk with your content SK 👊

2020-10-04 15:46:09 +0000 UTCYes.
Jorge Perez
2020-10-04 15:39:58 +0000 UTCI would be perfectly content with a second reaction on em songs. I listen to his albums multiple times. A second reaction may give you another perspective on the content.
Barry Hansen
2020-10-04 15:39:32 +0000 UTCYes, I think listening beginning to end will help you hear the album as a complete project, and it’ll be easier to spot evolutionary differences as you move through his catalog. Plus you might catch bars we all missed before. Thanks for doing this.
Dean Carroll
2020-10-04 15:39:28 +0000 UTCOoooo yess💪🏼💪🏼
Christoff
2020-10-04 15:37:17 +0000 UTCYes happy to listen to you do them again for sure
Terry Anderson
2020-10-04 15:29:46 +0000 UTCYeah Stevie, and you should probably re listen to SSLP. You keep saying that it wasn’t rap, it was just “shock value shit”. When Em says “I feel like I'm walkin' a tight rope without a circus net, poppin' Percocet, I'm a nervous wreck, I deserve respect, but I work a sweat, for this worthless check, about to burst this Tec, at somebody to reverse this debt” how is that not rap? I know what your saying when you say it’s just shock value mostly, but it’s there’s still 100% rap in it. Great reacts though.
Randall O
2020-10-04 15:28:28 +0000 UTCYes. Albums will make more sense.

Alonzo Bryant
2020-10-04 15:25:18 +0000 UTCYeah you need to re-listen Stevie. It’s cool we been listening to Em for years an still catching bars. He makes timeless music!!!

2020-10-04 15:23:26 +0000 UTCYou should relisten to some of the MTBMB songs
Jean malek
2020-10-04 15:22:50 +0000 UTCAbsolutely dude, listening for a 2nd time with a different perspective is definitely cool! Imagine how much more tuned-into Em's career you are since the last time you reacted to these, we're definitely down to watch you jam out to them again
WhatRaySay
2020-10-04 15:22:01 +0000 UTCDo em all again bro. We gonna watch
Shaine Babjeck
2020-10-04 15:21:25 +0000 UTCLmao I saw in the comments they were on yo ass but hey man do what you wanna do. At least you know people are paying attention. I'm just here for the content. If you wanna redo a song do it. They say shit gets better the second time around anyways and clearly as we see a 10 turn into a 20 minute video.

2020-10-04 15:20:57 +0000 UTCYou gotta react to Never Love Again of MTBMB too!
Tejas Gaikwad
2020-10-04 15:20:49 +0000 UTCYes absolutely! You can never catch everything the first time reacting to Em
Mark
2020-10-04 15:20:41 +0000 UTCRelisted! The reaction to kill you answers that question
Brad Martindale
2020-10-04 15:20:36 +0000 UTCI just upgraded to the Teir3 so I could get the whole album review so if you re-do those songs it would be dope, but if you don't have time then it's all good as well.
WILL PULERA
2020-10-04 15:20:26 +0000 UTCI think maybe if you reacted not too long ago u don’t need to like you reacted to the way I am just the other week so I don’t see the point in doing that one again or Kim. But I’ll probably watch either way. Idk if you did Stan but I know you have heard it but react to that and you can see how it relates to bad guy in ways that you missed
Mike
2020-10-04 15:20:02 +0000 UTCI respect this.

2020-10-04 15:17:32 +0000 UTCJust do a short run through on the ones that you have already done. That way we can keep the entire MMLP catalogued here on Patreon. Just a thought

Matt Rector
2020-10-04 15:16:33 +0000 UTCSince you will be doing the whole album, it might give you a stronger reaction to do them again. Totally up to you, dawg. It’s your time that you’re spending.
