EMINEM - WITHOUT ME - YT BLOCKED THIS ONE..SMH

I do agree em has some whack beat songs but on this one i have to disagree on you heavy, this song bangs idk what it is about that song that the beat gets you wanting to dance and sing along, at work when we play this song alot of people sing along to it cuz its so fucking catchy. One of my favorite songs from em im not even really a fan of his commercial songs but this one just makes you bop your head along to the beat. Its a fun dumb song it doesn't always have to be hip hop hip hop it can also be lets just fuck around and turn up

Jes2lift

Stevie if you've never seen the MTV music awards show where he won an award for this song, Moby was in the crowd and started booing, em on stage says "keep booing... yeah keep booing.. ill punch a dude with glasses" LMAO SHIT WAS HILARIOUS and Christina Agulera was mad cause she had to give him the award LMAO

Jason Aherron

I agree with everything you said in the end 100%

What happened to the rest of the MMLP? Did it go to tier 3’s only or something??

Main3ak 207

So here is the thing, post SSLP "Hi My Name" was like an earthquake in Hip Hop but honestly it was a fucking atomic bomb in white America. So the label saw the formula and stuck to it. The formula was simple; lighthearted, comedic, slapstick humor single first; the rest afterwards. From SSLP all the way through Relapse. Even when whispers of him retiring were in the air pre relapse and he released Curtain Call it had a silly ass song on it called "Fack" STEVIE IM TELLING YOU NOW DO NOT REACT TOO IT. . . . They forced him to stick to the formula. The entire album as a whole [ talking Release] was 90 horrorcore raps and 5% his reality and the remaining 5% that dumb ass song "We Made You" and an overused accent. It wasn't until Recovery that he stopped using the labels formula of "comedic single"

Larry Botts

LD is one imo that has hat same type of range that Eminem has, while not quite being the word bender than Em is. He can still do a funny song then snap off a minute later. Word play and metaphors are strong and his funny stuff is more funny than Em imo. Em is obviously better. LD needs to actually make music. That 2nd album been on the way for like 5 years

Ryan Eman

Well, in my opinion We Made You, Just Lose It and FACK are trash.

GFX MOD

Just to clarify, it wasn’t the jaws theme, it was the old Batman theme.

Matthew Hindle

I’d almost say stop watching the official music videos and just watch lyric videos so you don’t get so distracted by the visuals.

Michael Yates

I get that, but "not fucking with it" doesn't have to equal "wack". And even if it does in someone's personal opinion... There's levels to "wack" too. :D This, The Real Slim Shady & My Name Is and even We Made You at least have effort behind them. They're the radio-friendly, poppy lead singles which I skip when listening to the albums. That doesn't make them outright "wack" for me. On the other hand those Encore ones are just him goofin' around probably drugged out of his mind, and *are* wack in my opinion too. :D Although I've had a phase where I liked to sing Puke with a friend while drunk... :D But seriously, I can't believe how he thought he'd get away with putting so many really fuckin' low effort songs on there... I mean, even if he obviously knew they were trash, that's no excuse. It is, if there's only just one on an album, like FACK (The Greatest Song of All Time) on the greatest hits... :D Anyway, carry on, don't mind me writing a dissertation on the subjectivity of the "wackness threshold"... :D

Mister eX

Hell nah just lose it is the worst by far

Light Yagami

The verses in this are actually some of his most skilled verses tbh

Jasper

@Sedin Husic You’re absolutely right, I don’t know how I missed “We Made You”. I somehow exchanged Just Lose It for that one. That was the last time they did that.

GFX MOD

@Mister eX I was talking about the kind of songs that hurt Em’s legacy in the eyes of actual real rappers or people within the culture. None of the OGs would fuck with any of the songs I mentioned.

GFX MOD

What?! We made you is my jam 😂

Kaya Zelonko

Comparing Without Me to those 'wack' songs from Encore is going a bit too far tho'...

Mister eX

Don’t break my heart by billy ray cyrus is a classic don’t mean it’s loved by all

Wesley

how can you hate this song, is a classic

Beef_Stu

Hopsin would be the only rapper that comes to mind that can do funny videos and rap about dumb shit, and then still be a monster rapper. I think he is about as close to Eminem as we've got.

Jeffreyhead

Don’t do the video’s bro. Or search for the dirty version. They’re all editted. Sometimes completely different bars. And editting an Eminem song totally takes out the sting.

Tom Zoeter

These fun songs are great to me coz i know for a fact these silly beats and lyrics will randomly pop in the head of people who dislike him 🤣

Luna Raven

Broooo! This song is the first one I heard from Em, got me hooked right in! He got a song like this in every album he put out (except for Recovery). If you think about it Godzilla has the same purpose this one has. Getting attention and then rap rap rap!

Kostia

Speaking of encore let's not forget my first single.... Where EM speaks directly about the fact that the label wants a radio friendly single but he just fucked that up soo🤷🤣

devin jones

Yup shaq changed when mtbmb came and all off a sudden starting catching bars. Before that his way off “catching bars” was repeating what he just heard. And like other reaction channels yelling “Bars!” Acting like they get it. Shaq is entertaining tho amd thats why he grew so much

Flovin Fossdalsá

And a line in Guts Over Fear "I'd rather make Not Afraid 2 than another We Made You" probably references the "My Name Is" type songs.

Sedin Husic

Yes he did, he did it on Relapse with We Made You

Sedin Husic

I'm with you 100% on this. But, a couple of thoughts: 1- I don't fuck with songs like "Without Me", The Real Slim Shady" or "My Name Is" either, but those songs are precisely the ones that caught white kids' attention and brought them into rap music. These videos were on MTV almost 24/7. Girls watched it and loved it because they thought "wow look at this rapper, he's cute, he's hot and the song is super catchy". Boys watched it and loved it because he was cussing, and he looked cool. So, Em tried to make a name for himself with the first 3 albums (not counting Infinite here) showing how good of a rapper he actually was, but at the same time he was trying to sell records and that's where these songs come in play. What was the best strategy to sell records back then? Catchy songs. Had it not been for Eminem, Kanye would've never sold the amount of records he sold. And Drake probably would've never existed. Eminem bridged the gaps and that's a fact. 2- If you don't like these type of songs, I'd suggest you pretty much skip Encore (which comes after The Eminem Show) because it's full of wack songs like this one (Puke, 1st Single, Rainman, Big Weenie, Just Lose It and Ass Like That). 3- I was the one who told the story behind The Real Slim Shady, but I think you got it twisted. It wasn't like you told it in this video. The Album (MMLP) was done but the label wanted that radio-friendly song. That catchy song. The lead single. And they were all frustrated about it. They had been away from home for months. Eminem wanted to see his daughter. The label kept putting pressure. And at the very last minute, when they were giving up, the keyboard player was just fooling around and Em heard something and he went crazy "KEEP PLAYING THAT, DON'T STOP!". He started writing something, went in the booth, recorded some lines so he wouldn't forget about the melody and then Dre produced the rest of the track while Eminem finished writing the rest of the song. Then they presented it to the label and they loved it. 4- After the success of "My Name Is", "The Real Slim Shady", they thought they'd found the formula that made Eminem albums so successful. That "funny", catchy first single. So they made "Without Me". And then, for Encore... they made "Just Lose It" (which is by far the worst out these 4) but even though the album sold pretty well, Em got tired of doing that type of music, so he never did that for a first single again.

GFX MOD

Hey man, you still gotta check out Hop's Witch Doctor 🔥🔥🔥 song

Matthew Biggs

On the surface this song seems goofy, but there's real shit in there too (explanations taken from genius): I know that you got a job Ms. Cheney, but your husbands heart problem's complicated* So the FCC won't let me be, or let me be me so let me see** They try to shut me down on MTV, but it feels so empty without me*** I just settled all my lawsuits—fuck you Debbie!**** *Lynne Cheney, as the wife of Vice President Dick Cheney, was the Second Lady of the United States. In this role, she spoke out out against violent and sexually explicit lyrics in popular music, most notably those of Eminem. "He has taken hatred of women and depictions of degrading and violating them to new levels", said Cheney. Dick Cheney had already had four heart attacks prior to this song’s release. (Lynne Cheney & Tipper Gore are largely responsible for censorship in the US) **The FCC regulates interstate and international communications, including radio. The FCC won’t let him play his songs; they edit and censor them. Most rappers are told to self-edit their lyrics when performing on live TV, but Eminem says it’s the censors' job to bleep it out. Occasionally a few words got by the censors and you heard Eminem swear on national TV. The FCC doesn’t take too kindly to this. ***The backlash against Em’s lyrics included many attempts to censor his music including MTV (this was when MTV played music) videos. But, without Em, even the critics feel the empty space he used to fill. They hate to like him, but even Em’s harshest critics know he means a lot to the rap game, so they can’t just completely shut him down. ****Yet another insult directed at Debbie Mathers, Eminem’s mom. He was sued by her for the amount of $10,000,000 because of defamation, which was settled before he recorded this song. Thus, he feels free to swear at her, because she ended up only being awarded $1,600 or so in damages after legal fees.

DesertKate Walker

Man, tbh i feel like Shaq already knows the song before reacting to it or atleast listened it once before recording it so he can catch it easier

Rama Djuhana

Stevie, If I Get Locked Up by Eminem !

James Senz

And for the record, although I have watched him for years, shaq has never "broke down bars", he's just a reaction channel but he never goes more than surface level on any of the bars.... Not like Stevie, and not like indecently decent used to.....and before anybody feels like saying it doc rich ain't s*** for breakdowns either... Stevie's the last bastion of hope we have

devin jones

Lol ok ... You must be shaqs girl or something.......I can prove you have no idea what you're talking about and you are only butthurt...... If you read my message I didn't say anything to indicate what Shaq was doing, I simply said he was doing something ""I've never seen him do""..... Yet, without having any idea what I'm referring to because you can't read my mind, your response is that ""he's always done it""................. Subjective, opinionated, and butthurt......stfu

devin jones

Don’t do that. No need to compare. Also no life always broke down bars that way

steven

Gotta do Business by Eminem Real Rapping. U think this is rapping wait till u hear that

Richard Speirs

Bro I just watched no life shack react to Eminem's rhyme or reason and acting like Stevie pretending he's breaking down the bars in a way I've never seen him do before.... I guess our boys Stevie is bringing the reaction game up...,🤣🤣..... I do want to see Stevie react to rhyme or reason though so I can actually get to see a good breakdown lol

devin jones

I loved these type of songs wen I was younger cuz they were funny n shit but I never listen to them now but I can still enjoy listening to them. But obviously he has way better songs n these r just to grab attention

Mike

Width, depth, and influence. If I had 1 rapper that I looked to for my daily variety of substance, Eminem would be it. This song is fun

Michael C

💪💪💪

Chris sliker

Out of his goofy songs I think this is the best one

Mike

We made you is the worse one out of all of them. I like the rest tho

steven

Ayee just wanted to say Congratulations on your guy getting that 4th chip. Glad he did it for 24.

Voose Lagina

This is edited version btw. Also, his first 5 albums he had a catchy/ playful first single. SSLP - My Name is MMLP - Real Slim Shady TES - Without me Encore - Just Lose it Relapse - We Made You He switched the formula up on the Recovery album with “Not Afraid”.

Jeremy

I love the whack beats lol

Kaya Zelonko

I dont know if its a good idea to do an album review of the eminem show since youve done atelast half of the songs already, but im up for it whatever you do. Thanks for this one, i knew you wouldn't like it based on "My Name Is' and "The Real Slim Shady" but fucking hell he was rapping his ass off.

Rama Djuhana

Could you PLEASE post the renegade reaction as an mp4 file? I live in Egypt and I’m dying to watch it hahahaha. Thanks for the content brother!

Hassan

That's exactly what I was thinking😂

Anna

I can't wait to see you do The Eminem Show review, business is such an underrated song!

Jesús Pérez

Couldn't find the video on Vimeo 🤔🤔any help?

Abdo Salah

Thats the first single from the eminem show which is next after mmlp

Flovin Fossdalsá

Loving the vids bro! You have to do some of his D12 stuff for sure 🙌

MajinYogiBear

I like when you know you didn’t like the song but you’re humble and aware enough to know you weren’t listening to Eminem the right way 15 years ago. I still think you have about 15 more songs that are on par with your favorite so far. I think you like Mosh, Soldier, Till I Collapse? I think you’ll love Sing for the Moment, Guts over Fear, I Meed a Doctor, Headlights, Survival, Space Bound,,Beautiful Pain, and for sure Superman.

Chris Sturgill

Some of these " label " songs seem like he wrote to piss everyone off, like ok you wanna single form the album? Ok , here market this haha

Jason King

Too bad you didn't listen to the unedited version, there some more shock value words they blurred out in this ine

tony danner

That man rhymed "Fix your bent antenna tune it in and then I'm gonna" with the Jaws theme🤣

Tejas Gaikwad

It's a Till I Collapse type song but in the woke type.

Tejas Gaikwad

You gotta do the Sing For The Moment too! Your 3rd album's almost done anyways.

Tejas Gaikwad

Where's is that We Ain't - The Game ft Eminem u recorded with renegade reaction estevie?
