1. Eminem - his music hits me like other music doesn't. It has helped get me through some tough times, especially recently dealing with some alcohol problems. There is a song for every mood. His skills never fail to amaze, and he just keeps getting better. He always keeps it real. An inspiration. 2. KXNG Crooked - another who keeps getting better. One of the best lyricists around. I love everything he does for hip hop with Crooks Corner, the interviews, and how he engages with fans. 3. 2Pac - the voice, the delivery. One of the greatest songwriters. Poetry.

I hope I’m not too late. Still Nov 2 in my neck of the woods. Lol. My favorites change all the time but here goes 1. 2pac-really needs no explanation. His music is timeless and was the soundtrack to my teens. I did my final project in one of my classes my senior year on the impact of his death. 2. Scarface-easily the most underrated rapper ever. The Diary came out over 25 years ago and every time I hear it I get the same feeling I did the first time. 3. Yelawolf-nobody does it like this fool. Eminem is the only rapper that can compare with the number of flows Yela has. Not to mention he can sing better than 95% of the singers out there. The hook he does on “Your Little Man” is beautiful Honorable mention. Too Short-the first hip hop album I fell in love with was “Life is Too Short” when I was like 10 years old. This motherfucker taught me about the birds and the bees. Lol

I won’t put them in any order but my 3 favorite (not best) are- Andre 3000- OutKast was some of the first rap music I heard and I loved their style, the music and how unique they were. Later I appreciated how skilled Andre was with the flow, cadence, wordplay, etc. No one sounds like him. Eminem- obviously his rapping is impeccable and his flow and cadence and storytelling are amazing. But what makes me really love him is that I always feel something when I listen to his music. Even if it’s crazy, it always provokes an emotion. Plus, I know some may disagree, but more times than not I find his music audibly pleasing. Lauryn Hill- this is going to be controversial because I know some people don’t even consider her a rapper. But she is an amazing rapper (and singer) and her album the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is one of my all time favorites and is really important to me.

My top 3 at the moment are Royce da 5'9 because he so under-rated as one of if not the best rapper of all time, he shaped eminem's pen a lot more than anyone gives him credit for. royce and eminem grew in skill together, one being better at one thing that the other was somewhat lacking( you can see from their older music) Em with the flow, cadence and style where royce was better with the depth and multi-entendres of his lyrics ( both were lyrical geniuses in there own fashion) in my opinion based on both of the newer albums and from both discographies, though it is an unpopular opinion I believe royce is better then eminem at rapping (not at everything to do with rap) even though I listen to far more of Em's music. And a very VERY close second is eminem because of his outspoken emotion that he pours through his pen and the technicality of which he writes with is phenomenal. the struggles of my own life that makes me personally resonate with his music more than anyone else who I've heard in the game. My third would have to be Joyner lucas because this man's ability to write full lifelike stories in the flawless way he executes each perspective while not leaning too hard to a personal agenda is unparalleled to me with maybe an exception of eminem because of songs like river, stan and bad guy. That is my top 3 and why

1. Eminem - always been the underdog and outside of his shock value, em makes music for every situation specifically his ability to motivate. I can put on any em CD and after being impressed by his ability I get amped to get over anything and be better. 2. Lil wayne - dude is just sick wit da metaphors. Making a list is not going to be easy but i'll throw out what comes to mind. 1. C-Mob - He's still pretty underground so probably not a name most will know. But i've been listening to him for many years and he has climbed to my #1. I can name many reasons why from his Skills in music with flow patterns, cadences and schemes, story telling, and all the different things he can rap about, he has albums about gangster shit, to albums about struggling with demons so he can fit into whatever mood you're feeling at the time. on top of that he's just a good humble dude who as a person is always trying to put out positivity. 2. Tech N9ne - Once again been a fan forever and hes a beast! as i have watched you discover for yourself recently he just has top tier skills in throwing together schemes and flow. on top of that hes into crazy things like horror, demons and has that chopper flow that i love. 3. Hopsin - Found Hop when he dropped his Raw album and was an instant Fan. I have of course become a bigger fan since then as he has only gotten better and better! i'm truly curious to see how far he can advance as he always shows more and more growth every time he puts out something new! but he can be on the list just for talent, skills and entertainment alone.

Eminem, Pac and Outcast my top 3. I love Em cadence and flow especially when he gets going with the grit or anger in his voice. His ability to change flow and cadence like one the other guys said is top of the game shit.The fact I can relate to alot of what he says and being from the same area he lives and with the talent he has you kind of feel represented in a way. Idk if that sounds corny or not but real shit and being a white boy is a huge part of that also. Even though huge fan of hip hop in general before became an Em fan he definitely opened it further for me far as other artist. I tend to if I like something I just stick to them 10 or so artist and that was it where he through his love of hip hop and respect he gives the OGs I've explored alot of other artist because of him. Pac anytime he gets going also in that angry type flow could change any mood if was having bad day would make better or if you needed to get pumped up you felt like you could tear a door off the hinges and conquer the world with many of pacs records. Or songs like dear mama when I could relate to it even singing to my own mother back in the day and inspiration he always gave me. I still have my Outcast southernplaylisticadilliacfunkymisic cassette tape from 94 playas club one them joints that reminds me of cruising Gratiot back in the day with your boys looking for girls and just being a teen and thinking your the man. Andre 3000 style and way with words and how he puts his real life situations into song you have to really pay attention to what he says cause it's doctorate level shit. All in all the vibe I get from all three but music in general what's so amazing about it. When you feel it from the heart you can tell who's doing it for the game and $$ and thoughs who doing it cause it's who they are and a lifestyle and to me can't deny these 3 but there so many more.

Eminem - my favorite rapper because he has been so motivational and inspirational in my personal life with songs like: guts over fear, not afraid, sing for the moment, till I collapse. When I hear those songs I feel he's talking straight to me telling me to keeping going and fighting in life, just like he fought to get to where he's at. When he raps he talks about how he's the best rapper and isn't scared of anyone, but also that this is music and shouldn't be taking literally. "Like Toy Soldiers " is a great song to address how rap had become violent and almost ruined the game. And then versus like "Need a Doctor " and "Forgot About Dre" show he'll never forget the great that have him an opportunity regardless of his race. Yelawolf - He like Eminem has stayed in his lane when it comes to the rap game. He hasn't pretended to be something he isn't to be rapper. He raps about things relevant to him and a large base fan. But he also has this very unique voice when he raps and such a smooth and fast flow on some badass beats. Royce - Would've said 50 Cent here but he pissed me off this week with his comment about Trump. Sorry rant over! 😂. Royce is a lyricist and the more I sink into rap the more i have learn to appreciate what is being said and bars over anything else. Royce is straight forward and versus he's had taking a stance against racism have made an extreme impact on me

Lil Wayne: The man has BARS and can spit straight flames. His vocal performance really is the stand out for me. His flows are nice and the WAY he says them...hold up AND what he saying is fire. Eminem: If rap was an athletic competition he would be Usain Bolt, way ahead of the competition in terms of technical ability. He has the flows and cadances to rap over ANY beat rather than needing the beat to be melded to his rap. His music catalogue has everything from bar heavy fast songs to slow story telling ones. Absolute monster of a rapper and versatile as an artist. Kendrick Lamar: Truly puts the poetry in rap. Love his style of rapping and his story telling ability in particular. His technical skill is impressive but I think his strongest point is his musicality. His use of jazz really helps create his unique vibe in the rap game.

1. Eminem - Diversity in his flows and music and his impact he has had on the culture along with the fact that very few people who can actually touch him lyrically. He has been in the game for almost over 20 years and is still making music that relates to current times and has no plans on stopping. He actually cares about the culture he is apart in and pays homage to every one that built and contributed to the culture. 2. Kendrick Lamar - He also has a very diverse catalogue and most of his songs have a deep meaning. He touches on a lot of social issues in our country and does it in a impactful way. His flows and vocabulary and cadences he uses is almost like no other in the rap game. 3. Lil Wayne - Inspired many different artists in the game and has a way with his metaphors and cadences. Has so many timeless classics it would be dumb to not include him in your top 3. Also growing up in the early 2000s every time I hear a Wayne track its a wave of nostalgia.

DMX- The Great Depression album released the new year after losing mom to cancer on Christmas I was 8. I didn’t understand why Santa didn’t come and blamed her and said something not knowing it would end up being my last words to her. On his album he had a song ft. Faith Evan’s “I Miss You” I played the song on portable CD player on repeat non stop with eyes closed hoping she knew how I actually felt. Since then no matter what I was facing in life he has a song or verse for me if that even makes sense. Montana of 300- the reasons he pushes his pen and what he stands for. Family loyalty and No retreat. Joe Budden- The Aggression in the booth he uses to push his flow so you feel every word in his verse. His pen had meaning an emotions left on the page which made him a true artist.

1. Eminem... This one I think is pretty obvious to most of the people that actually are knowledgeable about hip Hop and are patreons on your channel, they know that there is many facets that are involved with writing good rap. Eminem pretty much embodies this, he does all the facets of hip Hop pretty much better than anybody else. Eminem also keeps it more real than I've ever seen any person do who was in the public eye. I could go on forever but I'll just stop here. 2. Tupac... I actually find Tupac and Eminem similar in a lot of ways, especially their the impact on the game and they both had so many similar traits both incredible humans. I think Tupac was someone who crossed over culturally to all different types of people , groups and races. He could be hard as hell and straight gangster in his rhymes but also be considerate and caring and so poetic in his rhymes in the very next song. 3. And because you said top three "favorites" there's a theme that's going on here that I haven't mentioned. My third favorite is kind of a time in hip Hop and in rap but I'm going to pick one artist / group that embodies this trait that all three of my top choices "favorites" have. It's Public Enemy!! Chuck d was an incredible MC, and Flavor Flav probably and doesn't get enough credit for this but should go down as ABSOLUTELY THE BEST (HYPE MAN) of all time. And what Public Enemy did was talking about the issues that are so prevalent today during their whole run, they basically based their hole platform about trying to bring awareness and make change. I could go on about Public enemy but I think you get the point. And that's the common thread that runs through all three of these artists. They were aware of all the injustices that were plaguing us and had the straight balls to stand up and say what they believed in!

Eminem - I remember the first time I heard (and saw the vid) for "My Name Is" on MTV. I was so confused; was this really hip-hop? Was he joking? What the hell is going on? It piqued my interest and then I heard Dre was backing him so I had to dig deeper. Long story short, I discovered that behind the goofy ass shock-value shit there was incredible talent, and for a teenager who was pissed off at the world a lot of his "fuck that, and fuck all of you" attitude was both relatable and hilarious. Here we are 2 decades later and Eminem's discography contains dozens of examples of the most complex word play and cadence that hip-hop has ever created. I can't believe he's STILL getting better, it defies everything we'd expect from both an artist and the industry, he's just THAT GOOD. Andre 3000 - I remember the first time I heard Outkast; I was driving a few friends to the next party and my buddy insisted on putting a CD in. The first song, "ATLiens" changed everything, I was hooked on the sound, Andre had this incredibly smooooooth flow that just blew my mind. Aquemini, Stankonia, Speakerboxx, these albums were my go-to's for years, and I still revisit so many tracks. Tupac - This selection is all about the attitude and the vibe. My family moved from CA, where all I'd been exposed to was hip-hop, all the way to NC. I'd heard other music, obv, but genres like rock were always viewed as "old people music" more than anything. So here I was, I'd never seen sooo many white kids (I'm a white guy, but growing up most of my friends were black and latino), and they all listened to weird ass music that I associated with parents. I was asking around school for any hip-hop radio stations and got blank stares, I felt so out of place. So I'm scrolling through the radio one night, and "California Love" comes on. It was like being taken home for a few minutes, I remember cranking that shit all the way up and feeling connected to CA again. Obviously this was before the social media explosion and it was easy to feel isolated if you were an outlier in your local community. I remember listening to Tupac and Dre listing off cities at the end of the song the first time I heard it, waiting with anticipation to hear if they'd give SacTown some love. I was a Tupac fan then and there, and though his style was never very complex it spoke to a whole generation. WEST SIDE!

1. Eminem. I was raised in Harlem lives with my uncles and the first songs I gravitated to in rap was Eminem. I memorized Eminem verses when I was 5 and he’s always been my escape from reality, I love his ability to tell stories, to relate even when his specific scenario isn’t exactly relatable to most from where I’m from. His pen, his attention to detail, he’s so precise and accurate. Creativity out of this world and just a pure fucking genius. He’s definitely a goat. I can’t tell you how much I could just sit in the mirror rap along with the nigga and just feel every word, and it can literally fix my mood. His music definitely helped me through shit, so I’m grateful to him not only as an artist but a human being. Not on some crazy Stan shit, but he’s a role model for sure 2. J Cole. Since Forest Hills Drive I’ve been listening to J Cole, unfortunately for me I didn’t get to dive in to his earlier tapes until a few years later just because I was never aware but mannnnn. His hunger is what gravitated me the most I think, and his voice. He just sounded like he was the shit, and his fucking pen ain’t a slouch neither. In my opinion I feel he’s only been getting better lyrically, flow wise, his cadence has some more depth to it. J Cole was another artist who just speaks volumes in his music, and the thing is since he’s from places that I’m more familiar with, he gravitates me to a different direction where I know exactly what he means when he raps about that shit. He’s very unique, and that’s one of the things I think separates Cole the most. Lot of people say he’s boring or whatever I just hear and see pure genius at work. KOD, in my opinion was a masterpiece Top to Bottom. Diamond album without the sales. J Cole is all time 3. Logic(Before his Everybody Album). Since it’s favorite artists ima go with Logic because his fucking mixtapes were fucking dope as fuck. Logic himself I respect because of his upbringing, he had a really fucked up life and you can’t help admire his grind and everything he went to to reach his level now. He also had a decent fucking pen, but his ability to stay on beat and flow the shit out of verses was crazy. His production!! Amazing. Always had that, his personal beat maker 6ix is fucking incredible, makes crazy fucking beats. I loved all his tapes. His Under Pressure album is my favorite just a beautiful piece of work. I think he’s worth a spot on the list, he’s definitely a talented rapper, really dope shit.

my top 3 rappers begin with Eminem . there's a feeling you get like when watching a movie and a character resides with you in a way that pulls at the heart . In the same way that i grew up on Kobe being born in 1993 you get attached to certain people as if they are real life super heroes to you. There were words Eminem was saying that would resonate in a mind of not just a white kid growing up in a certain community that listened to hip hop and was a little awkward at time but any kid that rebelled and stuck out in the opposite way that popular kids were viewed like . My second favorite comes latewr in life. Wiz Khalifa walked me through all of high school. When depression would get bad or studies would get hard, nothing beat putting on a Steelers game and listening to some Wiz and letting the world melt away for a moment. While Eminem brought all my problems to the surface for me to take on head first. Wiz Khlaifa let me know when it was time to put those things on the back burner and relax. My third and final favorite rapper comes with the most maturity I have accomplished in life and that is Joey B4da$$ . The delivery of this man and representing the Beast Coast was something to deal with from day one. The Pro Era rappers behind him brought rap back to New York and attention began to shine on the East Coast once again. Favorite line that really had me locked into Joey was "Spittin' hot shit, hit your dome with the heater/Wouldn't want to be ya, this lyrical fajitas/Got dragon balls like my name was Vegeta. " It was all bad ever since (in a good way)

My top 3 rappers are 2pac, Eminem and the 3rd spot is a tie between T.I. and pastor Troy. I know that 4 but I couldn't pick between t.i. and pastor Troy so I went with both. I choose 2pac because I grew up on west coast hip hop and 2pac to me is the greatest to ever do it. I picked eminem because when he came out I really connected with him and I was one of those "white boys" that felt like he was talking to me. And lastly T.I. and Pastor Troy because I grew up in GA and in my late teens early 20s is when Troy and tip came out and if you were in the south u were bumping both of them hard. There was a club in ATL called the bounce where I celebrated my 21st and you had them and baby d steady bumping. (Troy eventually bought the bounce and it closed down)

3. Asap Rocky Its just something about his character and style that amazes me. He has his unique type of swag on every song he does and it sounds so damn good to the ear. I know his not a top lyricist but sometimes when listening to rap its just a blessing that the track is audible pleasing. Been listening to him ever since he dropped long live asap. I was supposed to see him live on two different occasions, but both concerts got cancelled. one because of him being held up in jail in Sweden the other because of Covid-19. 2. Kendrick Lamar Objectivaly speaking I really think he should be ratet as a top 5 rapper ever, per date. His run of 4 albums is without comparison, from section 80 all the way to DAMN. What I dig about him most is his creativity and his urge to always pursue new ways of rapping. Rumors has it that his upcoming album is gonna be with a rock-sound to it and Im all here for it. Other than that, his storytelling ability, his unique voice, his pen, hes deep meanings and raw attribution to the game is just superb. been listening to him since section 80 1. Eminem my goat. Pen, creativity, impact, humor, self-reflection, cadence, flow, schemes.. the list goes on. When this dude choses the right type of beats, there's no-one in the world that comes near him. Its almost like I have to wash my ears after listening to him cause hes just so filthy with his pen. The perfectionism is almost unbelievable and I think we'll never see anyone like him ever again. Saw him in Oslo in 2017, only problem with him these days is hes outta shape so mr. porter had to fill in for him in every bar, you didn't see that earlier in his career.

Russ- he is one of, if not the most diverse artists in the world. If you feel like listening to straight bars you can find songs for that, if you want a chilled song you can smoke/drink to, he’s got songs for that & if you’re feeling like shit and hate the world, he also has songs for that. Plus he’s unapologetically him, gotta respect that. Lil Wayne- what’s funny is I never used to give Wayne a chance strictly off the fact that I thought he was just another rapper that overused auto tune but I was so wrong. It is a difficult choice to choose a top 3, there are so many great artists to choose from. 3. Wiz Khalifa He is not bar heavy but he makes bangers, I can vibe to the majority of his records, I enjoy his music🎶 2. Sik World I've been recently introduced to this artist because of the stories he tells, most people can relate to his tracks, they aren't the most uplifting records but you can appreciate his lyrics and the fact that this man pours his heart out on his tracks. 1. This was the most difficult spot to fill, eminem will always be my top artist because he's the GOAT! But... he always gets the spotlight we all know how talented eminem is and noone can deny it and because of that I'm choosing another artist as my top rapper. 1. Kendrick Lamar - He paints pictures with his lyrics. He’s an amazing storyteller and his vocals are so creative. Eminem- He’s a brilliant writer who seems like he can do anything. I’m fascinated by his competitiveness and think he’s better now than he’s ever been. Jurassic 5. Not an MC, a group I know that’s not the rules. I’m new to hip hop for the most part but I always listened to Jurassic 5. As a middle class white kid I couldn’t always relate to the subject matter of rap when was growing up, but these guys always connected. Eminem - Seems I’m not alone here but he introduced me to rap. I can’t say I relate to what he raps about but I do love his lyrical ability. Thanks to him I’ve come to enjoy lyrical rap, none of that mumbo jumbo bs. In my opinion, he’s the GOAT. Kendrick - How can one not appreciate kdots discography. I personally started listening to him since good kid mAAd city and of course I later went back to Overly Dedicated and Section.80. Always listen to his albums when they release from the beginning to end cause his story telling is absolutely amazing. I can’t wait for a new album, hopefully soon! Joyner - Another great story teller imo. I’m not racist was what originally introduced me to him but I can’t even front, seeing him on a song with Eminem and how well he did, that’s what pushed me to keep listening to him. His latest album Evolution is worth the listen.

What up what up what up Stevie Knight! My favorite rappers of all time are (in no particular order) Eminem. I think you know why. Although I myself am not white, I did grow up poor and constantly moved from apartment to apartment with my family, dealing with evictions and school changes much like Eminem did. My parents were into drugs and my dad was sent to prison when I was a teenager which gave me not only a severe anger and depression problem but it also lead me to practice music and writing, which eventually lead to me being in Prague getting my degree in filmmaking. I owe a lot of that creative outlet to Eminem, musically. Lil Wayne would be a top 3 for me because his music gave me confidence. His music has such a unique style and flow. Lil Wayne is one of those rappers I can always put on and enjoy no matter what mood I am in. And another I’d go is one I’m not sure you’ve heard of, K-Rino. He is the most creative lyricist I have ever heard. He takes concepts like contradiction, and then uses an entire song describing it while each rhyme uses words that are the opposite meaning of the previous word. Really deep, super creative stuff like that. Scientific, poetic and mathematic in his approach to rapping. It’s actually mind blowing and I suggest you check him out. I’ve been a huge fan of hip hop since I was about 8, the first CD I ever purchased was ATLiens by OutKast and it’s a favorite to this day. I look for complex lyricism in my rap. I think as far as your page goes I think it would be fun for you to take a step back and go though some older bangers. Like, maybe in the same video you can do a sample of a song from a rappers first album and one from their latest, and compare how they’ve improved or fallen short, depending. I don’t think it needs much improving. You’re the only YouTube content creator I’ve ever supported monetarily, as I have been jobless since July and have to keep what money I have for school in Europe. First off for any rapper to be on my list, they have got to be a technical rapper - flow, wordplay, rhyme patterns etc. Then it's about using that foundation to make actual songs that I can listen to. If you just rap but the music doesn't connect, then what is the point? So with that said here goes: 1 - Royce da 5'9. Incredible rapper, variety of flows, intricate rhyming and since 2012 (when he got sober) his music has transformed from rapping about rapping (which I still enjoy) to rapping with substance and a message. His journey as an MC is incredible, and his last few albums have been top notch. He now cares less about bars and more about making music that stays with you, and I think that's made him a better artist (it's also why you think Em always washes him on tracks! haha) 2 - Eminem - Em's catalog has it all. He got me into rap and even though modern day Em is all about technical mastery, it's actually MMLP/TES era em that connected with me. He's incredible at making songs which just hit you emotionally. He's also a student of the game, cares deeply about hip-hop and has contributed so much to the game. 3- Killer Mike is a late entrance into my top 3. He is not quite as technical as Em and Royce but what makes him stand out is his content. He is a political activist who lives what he raps about, while still being entertaining as fuck on the mic. RTJ4 with him and El-P is the soundtrack to 2020. Listen to walking in the snow even if you don't want to react to it, and tell me you don't feel something! 4 - Things I'd like to see? I think the technical breakdown of bars is your strong suit, and it's really important to have voices like yours who put the focus on bars and the technical aspects of rap, because it seems like most people don't care. That being said there is some great rap music which is more than just double entendres and intricate rhyme schemes. I'd like to see you put some emphasis on how the music sounds, what the messaging is and whether or not it connected with you. That way you are covering broader elements of what makes hip hop great (in my opinion). You are obviously a student of the game, so your perspective would be interesting. Personally guys like Hopsin and Joyner rap really well but their lyrics are pretty surface level, so it'd be great if you dived into guys like JID, IDK, Ka, Denzel Curry etc. RTJ4 would be a great place to start, but shit there is so much great music out it's hard to know where to start. It'd also be interesting just to see you react to music you'd actually listen to!

I didn't respond right away because actually picking my top 3 was harder than I thought. I go through waves where I'll listen to a certain artist more than others and at those times my "favorites" can change. There are definitely some artists that are more constant in my playlist, and that's how I narrowed it down, still wasn't easy. Anyway, I'll start with Em. I'm sure you'll see him on a lot of lists but I'm not gonna exclude him for that. In 1997 the Slim Shady LP was released and grabbed my 19 year old mind. It was totally different from my usual suspects back then like Dre, Snoop, Cube, UGK, Pac, Busta, Biggie, Jay and I could go for ever. His Flow, His in your face I don't give a fuck attitude, imagination, The way he can bend words and sentences to form what he wants, the double and triple meanings, it's just different bro. It's like I told my girl the other day, pick any rapper out there and I guarantee he can bite their sound completely but there isn't anyone who can emulate Em. He consistently blows my mind. Next on my list is Chris Webby. He got my attention I wanna say 2009 or 2010 when he dropped his 1st mixtape. He also has a style of his own. He's one of those artist that you have to be somewhat intelligent to get a lot of his bars. He's super lyrical and is actually saying something. He has deep make you think songs but also has some fun lay back and ride songs too and can talk yo shit with the best of them. He is so underrated and overlooked. Joyner Lucas will round out my top 3. He's just fire, ever since I first heard him I said he's going to the top. His remix's are usually better than the originals, for real. His flow is ridiculous, he's one of the few that I think can fuck wit Em. I'm gonna throw out Hopsin and Dax just because, if it would've been top 5 that's what my list would be.

1. Eminem - The best rapper of all time, I welcome anyone who wishes to debate this with me. I was saying this before Music to be murdered by and then he completely blew me away with an unorthodox cadence, insane wordplay, punchlines, metaphors. He’s solidified my love for hip-hop, my passion to freestyle and rap and has done so much to influence hip hop, lyricism and the culture overall. 2. 2 Pac - Ahead of his time. A true leader. He had an incredible understanding of life, the ‘system’, problems in society, racial injustice, etc. He devoted his life to bring awareness to corruption and FEARLESSLY attempted to address some of them. His music and message hit so deep most of the time I’d look past the fact that he’s rapping on a beat. He’d go in the studio and speak from his heart & soul and didn’t need to write everything. He had (probably still has) so much unreleased content when he passed. To think he died at 25... What 25 year old do you know that was this mature, fearless & ambitious. Fuckin legend. 3. The only spot in my top 3 that can still fluctuate. For a while it was Nas - deep story telling so vivid I could close my eyes watch some of his songs unfold in my head. Hopsin recently took this spot - I can relate to a lot of his music and message. I live by many of the same morals as him. Tons of content, honest & speaks from the heart. Doesn’t put up with industry bullshit and fights for what he believes in. His growth in recent few years was on his own, not through the help of labels/industry. I respect the shit out of that.

Even though Em is on of my top 3 im going to go with different artists...Russ: because he is real and a true independent artist. He writes, mixes, produces, masters and engineers all his own shit and he is a top tier TALK YO SHIT artist. Also, for me, his good to, not so good, song ratio is like 10 to1. Next is Andy Mineo. He might be considered a "Christian Rapper" but the kid is NICE. His music has also gotten me through a lot of shit that I've gone through. Last but not least, is Tupac. Back in '04 when I was a freshman in high school is when I first started really listening, listening to him. When I catch on to an artist I tend to really dive into them and who they are and what they're about. And when I dove into Pac, I saw a strong, outspoken, passionate human being who gave no fucks about what anyone had to say about him and he could do that because the man was fire af on a track, every track. Even now at 31 years old I look back and realize that he died at the age of only 24 and I sit and think, wow this man was young as hell saying these things and making grown ass men contemplate on their own lives just by using his words and expressing his perception of the world. Mr. Shakur was a gift to, not just the rap game or the black community, but a gift to the world. RIP

Eminem, number one since my brother was taking me to school in the mornings, riding in his car. This was prime middle school for me. Started listening to TES, playing catch up ever since. Impossible for another rapper to beat Em, song for song, bar for bar. Shady is number 1. My number two is Kendrick. This man is a musician and storyteller. Starting with the early mixtapes in high school and college, my rap ears were much more matured, and Kendrick brought a whole other style to rap. Number three is A$AP Rocky, off of pure flow. In no particular order, the three artists I’ll pull off the top of my head would be Conway The Machine, Joey bada$$, and Smino. Conway is just such a heavyweight when it comes to bars, he’s got me pressing rewind on most tracks cause of how hard hitting his punchlines be. My reasoning for Joey is the confidence when he rhymes, dudes just nice. Smino is an easy choice due to his voice inflections plus his country grammar, most who don’t fully listen for bars could easily misinterpret him for a mumble rapper. 2Pac- Got me through some rough times. When I listen to him, it’s more about what he is saying. I get so caught up in the words, I’m not even sure if he rhymes. Timeless music. Hopsin - His creativity, his lyricism, and his storytelling ability and just the real shit he talks about like with the Ill Mind series. Eminem - He was the first rapper I ever heard when i was 5 years old and watching MTV with my dad when The Way I Am came out (which to this day remains my favorite song in general) and even at a young age he got me into rap. His ability to bend and stretch words to make them rhyme plus his cadence, lyricism and overall his general ability to do pretty much anything in rap. The amount of influence he has over the rap game and the entire world in general. His fearlessness to take a stand against people like the president whether it was Bush or Trump. There's alot more reasons too but I'd be here all day. Tupac - His revolutionary spirit I guess is what I would call it. Out of all the interviews I have watched I enjoy watching his the most because even back then he had the most forward way of thinking like he felt it was his responsibility to single handedly change the world and the way other people viewed it. He spoke out about real issues and was not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. Changes is or at least in my opinion should be considered one of if not the most influential and timeless song ever. His other music was good too but that one really stood out to me. 1. Em/Slim/Marshall- The way he can restyle a beat with the tempo and pronunciation of words is insane. The level of passion and effort he puts into music makes me think he is never not trying. 1. Eminem. He was the artist who introduced to hip hop music. I was around 12 the first time I heard him and he quickly became my favorite artist. When I first started listening to him around that age, I think it was the shock value that lured me in. Then as I got older and started to understand language better, I was able to get a better understanding of what he was actually doing in his verses. What stuff meant. How he was saying it, passion on the mic, technical abilities etc. Perhaps, my favorite aspect of his rapping ability is his flow. One of my favorite parts of hip hop is the way artists can use their voice as an instrument, so to speak. You have also touched upon this a lot as well during reactions how Em is able to make his voice part of the beat and use this scheme throughout the entire song. Perhaps one of my favorite instances of this is in one his more recent tracks from MTBMB "Leaving Heaven" second verse right before the chorus. One final note on EM, he is also the most relatable hip hop artist for me personally and I think this is what also draws me to him. 2. King Crooked: I think this goes back to the point I made about Em and his flow. The way crooked designs a verse so smoothly is incredible to me. Hip Hop fascinates me a lot because it is a form of poetry and these artists are able to manipulate the English language in such a way that is so pleasing to the ear. In addition to his flow, I admire how much he puts out on a consistent basis. His "weekly" tracks he made during the 2019 year were incredibly good. I like his style and flow. 3. This is a hard choice for me, but I have to go with Lil' Dicky because I find him funny. I appreciate how he could clown on himself while spitting some bars (although they may be corny at times). Overall for LD, his humorous bars, style on his songs, and general demeanor make him my third favorite hip hop artist.

#1 – VINNIE PAZ – His perspective and honesty while not giving a shit made me think differently and gave me that motivation to keep my head up and eyes open. His voice is gritty but it’s perfect for his style of rap, one of my favourite rap voices for sure. I been listening to Paz and AOTP/JMT (groups he’s apart of) for ages now and they got me through some of my worst days. I was able to release anger by listening to their music while staying relatively calm on the outside. #2 – EMINEM – I’ve only been listening to EM for roughly 4 years now, but he has given me so much more appreciation for rap. I didn’t know you can bend the pronunciation of words like that, and his cadence wasn’t like anything I was listening to at the time. Man, I dove straight into his catalogue after hearing him at my cousin’s place a couple times...the way he was saying what he was saying got me excited to keep listening, he showed me that you can have fun with it sometimes. #3 – C-MOB – I feel like I might just be repeating myself here, but he gave me a confidence boost. He got me back up when my head was keeping me down. My mind runs and never stops, it’s exhausting, it really brought my confidence down because forming sentences during a verbal conversation was hard to do for me while thinking of so many other things. His album “The Devil in Dickies” is top 3 of my favourite albums for the simple reason of it helping me manage my thoughts, oddly enough. C-Mob is an easy third for me.

Rakim, literally wrote the book on lyricism and his influence alone sparked the growth for most of the modern worlds hiphop, a lot of his writing techniques and over all clout inspired some of the biggest rappers in the world. 2. Tech n9ne for me, is number 1. The way he puts a verse togeather is insane. He not only has an infinite amount of patterns and kills you with cadence, the flow the messages, the bars the topics everything about him is so elite he pays so much attention to every little detail. His longevity proves he can withstand the test of time and nobody has every been on his level independently look at his catalog all the features everything about him to me crowns him for the king/master of hip hop. He's got unbeatable rhyme structure, the patterns and cadence on everyone of his songs are so intentional even when he's on his slim shady shit there's a purpose for it. He's a fucking genius. His songs are like watching a tv series in the form of music. It's very entertaining and really can make you stop what you're doing and be like... Wtf? Everytime I hear an Eminem verse I'm like how tf did he do that? Eminem has been through so much shit not only in his personal life but in the music industry and he's broken through every barrier including race, freedom of speech, and unthinkable creative ideas. And number 3 for me is hopsin. Hopsin is just as elite as tech n9ne and Eminem imo. He's got bars, stories, entertainment and he delivers them lyrically at such a high level multisyllabic rhyme schemes the cadence and the patterns. He does all this on beats he produced him self he makes his own videos as well. There is very few artist that truly do it on that level independently. 1. PAC - I know I'm supposed to show my work like math class, but come on man.... Song writing, conviction, REALNESS, truth, message, swag, gangster, lover. Poet, martyr.... blah blah blah. But break it down to the simplest and most important - i bump him the most in my car and my speakers cause his music makes me feel shit. 2. BIGGIE - Fucking flow, lyrical assassin, with punches when he wants, but lays in the cut at the same time, and rhyme schemes and cadence that cannot be matched. Just discovered a freestyle I had never heard the other day, YouTube Biggie - Mumbling and Whispering.... its so fucking sick and calls out all the garbage raps of today. But that's beside the point, he's #2 for me because he might be my favorite rapper to fucking nail his verses and spit with him. Hard to pick a fave verse, but it might be his first verse on Victory. 3. BIG L - Punchline king. True assassin. Made rappers quit on the spot, according to OGs like Lord Finesse, Fat Joe, Diamond D, and his whole crew with D.I.T.C. they would literally call L up middle of the night and say ill give you 5 gs to come to the radio station and make this wanna be rapper quit his fucking job. Also, he perfected horrorcore rap that Geto Boys and Onyx started, and had such grimey ass beats and slap your grandma type raps that make you stand up immediately if you weren't paying attention. I don't think any other rapper amps me up as much as L on a fire song. And all his songs are fire. But one that stands out is Shyheim feat. Big L - Furious Anger. In no order. 1. Lil Dicky. I think he’s hilarious and dumb clever with the way he does it and I listen for the creativity, a good laugh, and the very frequent “funny bar” that is somehow hard as shit. 2. J.cole. Homie brings me through so many like... books that I might not have known existed before and really paints a beautiful picture when storytelling and I’m a big fan. Ngl he said “ dick so big is like a foot is in yo mouth” and I’m still dying. But still really great at putting you somewhere in his storytelling and voice n shit. 3. Em. 1. Eminem- the thing about him is not only is he a lyrical genius, but such a genuine artist. Spells his soul out on every record, whether it’s bars, story telling, or jokes. People don’t think he has turn up club music but he does (shake that, ass like that, without me and may more) but he is also an inspiration to many people who have nothing and aspire to be something. (I accidentally hit enter before I finished my post so here it is again) My favorites have nothing to do with where they stand as far as the best, I have never really cared about that. They are more based on how I got introduced to and pulled into rap and what speaks to me personally. #3 Harry Mack - If it wasn't for me going down a random Youtube Rabbit hole and seeing Harry Mack's freestyles, I would never have started listening to rap. He makes the craft so damn fun just listening to him effortlessly come up with rhyme schemes and words that fit so fast. It got me to like that aspect of rap. He single handedly is what gave me the desire to give my #2 another listen and a chance. #2 Eminem - I absolutely hated Eminem growing up. I thought he was the worst sort of person there was, but I was just basing my opinion of him off of the things here and there that I would hear from his music, assuming he was just terrible but not realizing that most of what he says are just metaphors. It wasn't until I discovered Harry Mack that I decided to go back and listen to Em and ACTUALLY listen, not just hear it and I grew a new respect for his skill and what he does and even for him as a person. He's clearly the best at what he does and that small flame that Harry Mack lit for me on lyricism and wordplay and just the actual art form of putting words together like that, ignited into a flame with Eminem so he gets my number 2 spot. #1 Yelawolf - I might be the only person in here that doesn't list Em as his favorite, and I might also be the only person in here with Yela on his list, but I don't care. Yelawolf is my absolute favorite rapper. He has this incredible style that's all his own, not only in rapping, but just his persona and character too. There are no two Yelawolfs, nor is there anyone even really trying to copy what he's doing. Not only is he just a dope guy in general, but he is criminally underrated when it comes to how good he is. He may not be among the top tier elite best, but he can damn sure hold his own on a track with them. Yelawolf is my favorite, simply because I like his style and music the most out of any of them. He can rap on one syllable then outta nowhere change it up on you and bring it back full circle to the first syllable he was rhyming with. 2.) Lil Wayne- because he was the first rapper I ever heard. Lollipop was the first song I heard from him and would find it very catchy for a 5 year old. I obviously would not understand shit he was saying due to my age but would just find it so catchy. As I got older I would start understanding more and more of his content and just became more and more In-tuned with his content. Juice WRLD- because he has affected my life greatly. He ain’t no Wayne or Eminem, but he had talent. One of the best freestylers of this generation, and he would put banger for banger out. Top 3 "Favorite" rappers. Ok, My#3 is LL Cool J because he was the first rapper I listened to "Around The Way Girl", "Mama Said Knock You Out" was hard! And those smooth sounds like "6 Minutes of Pleasure" and "Hey Lover" feat. Boyz II Men My#2 is Naughty By Nature, Songs like Hip Hop Hurray, O.P.P. , Uptown Anthem, Party was the tracks that got me dancing and loved Trech's flow #1 is Eminem, but he wasn't always number one! TBH, I wasn't even listening to him when he came out. When he first came out, I thought "Great, Another Vanilla Ice, he won't last long". I was listening to Snoop, LL Cool J, Young MC, Maestro Fresh Wes, Naughty By Nature, Tupac, Biggie. It was after 8 Mile was in theatres and on VHS and DVD. I was visiting my cousin Michelle and she is a Metal Head(her guilty pleasure was Eminem), she asked what I listen to? and I said "Hip Hop" and she said "Oh, even Eminem?" I went "nah" she told me to rent out 8 Mile, she is not much into rap, but she loved Eminem and she watched 8 Mile all the time. I watched the movie, thought it was great. and started to listen to his discography, I also liked the way he was protective with his daughter, after JaRule said those mean things and Em ended his career. And because of Em, he introduced to me other rappers I didn't listen to. And because of Em, I enjoy watching reaction videos to Em's music. Because of my cousin Michelle, I got to know to listen to one of the G.O.A.Ts. This message is hard to write, because she died of Pancreatic Cancer last month on the 10th and last night, I was just thanking her on her celebration of life.

Eminem, because he made me discover rap music, I don't like all his CDs or all his songs, but he keeps evolving, MTMB is a great album, I've had it on repeat for like a month non stop 2. In no particular order and these are just the 3 that I'm thinking about at the moment. My list is always changing. Eminem has to be on the list. You have the obvious reasons. He is just one of the best at what he does hands down and nobody can question that. But, for me, I used to listen to Dr. Dre, Eazy E, Warren G, Snoop, Pac, Biggie etc. So, when Eminem came out of course my ears were open to it. I think I was a senior in high school. His music gave me something to relate to in the type of music that I had already been drawn to. So, I was with EM from the start and it just turns out that he ended up being one of the best out there to do it. Bizzy Bone - I was a huge fan of Bone and of course you had to pick your favorite member. I was drawn to Bizzy, because of his unique sound and I liked what he talked about. Listening to him changed my brain I think. I was able to put him on and understand every word, which was quite different from the first time I listened to Bone. His solo album "Heaven's Movie" is one of the best and most underrated albums to see the light of day IMO. Also, his history and what he has been through is inspiring and that goes for Eminem too. The 3rd one has to be Andre 3000. Outkast is one of the best hip hop "groups" to ever do it IMO. Andre 3000 was just different in every aspect. Big Boi is a great MC as well, but you can just tell the difference when comparing him to Andre 3000. I also like the fact that he would do some unique shit and wasn't afraid to make songs that were going to make you say huh. But, a song like Hey Ya ended up working and I think only a great MC like Andre 3000 could pull something like that off.

My top 3 (no particular order): - Tech N9ne - Eminem - King ISO I have a hard time deciding on this topic bc there's always new music and new artists across many genres. That said, I'm going with a little bit of impact and what catches my attention most. Tech N9ne and Eminem have been the most consistent artists in my playlists. I'll search out and find anything with their names (even fan made) bc they talk about their lives and I can find something that relates to me personally. King ISO is a bit of recency bias but he does the same thing, writes about his life. He just signed to Tech's Strange Music label last year but I've collected every album from before that. I really think this man saved my life. He is inspirational and relatable. If there was one artist ever I would ask you to react to that you haven't already, it would be King ISO. You've already seen him before though, he is in the "Like I Ain't" video by Tech N9ne at the beginning rapping acapella that catches Techs attention. He is also shown briefly in the "Outdone" video, at the end in the background as Tech mentions him. All 3 of these artists have immaculate pens, cadence, and presence on a track. You can't always get all that.

1. Eminem is my #1 for many reasons outside of his skill. In 2009 when I was 12, my older brother gave me his old cell phone called the juke, which was a phone but an mp3 player. Revolutionary back then lol. But he had old em hits on there as well as the newly released relapse album. At this age I would listen to music but I knew few artists and only knew names of a few hits. Once I went through the relapse album, my whole world changed. I loved every song and it immediately lead me to go through ems entire catalog and it was rare that I found a song I didnt like. Ever since then he's been my favorite. And over time, a lot of his music has been there for me during my dark days because he has songs to relate to in every moment. I could probably say his music has saved me. My #2 favorite would have to be XXXTENTACION. His style is way different than any other rapper I had come across. When his 17 album dropped, I thought screw it ill check it, never heard him before. And during this time I was at my lowest point in my life. Had just had to drop out of college, lost a long time gf, and had to live with the parents and work my ass off to get everything back on track, which I did. But tentacion had a song for every emotion I struggled with during that time. He wasn't the most bar heavy rapper but he was genius poet with his lyrics. All of his songs contained heavy emotional lyrics with deep meaning. His music really helped me through a hard time back then. My #3 would probably be drake and for opposite reasons of em and xxx. Drake is the turn up artist. Every time im in a good mood, at the gym, a party, it dont matter, drake gets played. Hes got a long catalog of hits, some bars and bangers, and just brings your energy up when you need it to. Pushing boundries regarding what couldn't be done, and what can be done (AND SAID) now. Influenced countless rappers of today, and not just rappers but music artists in general. Biggie - Man, when I heard his debut album for the first time I was blown away, his charisma, his unique rhyme schemes and his unorthodox flow was like butter in my ears, and on top of that, what he was saying was entertaining as shit, and his backstory was insane, quitting dealing to become a rapper was the best choice he ever done, no doubt my favorite gangsta rapper motherfucker of all time and his influence in hip hop is undeniable. 2. Grew up on Pac and Em.3. Is a hard one but I’m going to have to say NF clearly on how he conveys his story and no matter what mood I’m in he’s got a song I can vibe with. As a lyricist he blows my mind any time he puts his pen on a pad. His production. His music videos are so cinematic and he speaks to me in some ways most Artist can’t. Joyner was a close 4th. But ever since I started watching you I’ve really zoned in when Artist got something to say. First, toughest thing to do but... 1. Eminem because he did exactly what you said he did. I’m a French white guy and he opened my ears to a whole culture and sound. First heard him on The Eminem Show back in 2002 and I’ve been digging into Hip Hop of all ages since then. He’s a genius and has evolved a lot throughout his career, never releasing twice the same sound. He is the most passionate hip hop head and an historian of the game. He’s just different 😉 2. Nas because he put out the best album of the 90s in my opinion: Illmatic and I listen to his entire discography. His storytelling is superbe. 1. Eminem (surprise) - I'm a Stan since day 1 when "My Name Is" dropped. Longevity, consistency and how he constantly grows as a lyricist. He might not be making dope music anymore, but as a word bender he never siezes to amaze me. 2. Travis Scott - don't take this the wrong way, but rap and hip-hop is not my favorite genre by far, although I am a professional audio engineer and producer and have been working mostly with rap and trap for the past 2 years. What appeals to me about TS is his vibe and music as a whole. IMHO, he makes dope ass music which sounds pretty unique. 3. All Time: 1. Eminem My mom, who wasn't around much due to drug abuse, introduced me to Eminem when I was 13. It was the Recovery album, and the first song was Cinderella Man. I loved to read, listen to music, and poetry, and this man was the embodiment of all 3. I downloaded every single song and album to date, even the ones that are hard as fuck to find. Even the ones i didn't like just to study the way he rapped and his lyrics. I idolized everything he did. 2. Token I heard him on Facebook from a toyota sponshership. I started following him for a few years, and then he had his first tour whwre I found out he was having a cypher. I had always written my rap songs down on paper but was always to scared to rap them out loud because my parents were super religious. I was 21 and it was 2017 when I rapped my first creation out loud and it was at Token's concert. Which is the first concert I've ever been too. 3. NF. Though not for personal reasons as much as the rest of them, he does have a lot of songs that I love that resonate with me. He's a fantastic rapper, lyricist, and artist as well.

1 Eminem: grew up on him. mmlp was my introduction to the man. I was drawn to him because his articulation is very good and for me very important because English is not my first language and I was a little kid back then. And although I didn't know what everything meant I could understand the words he was saying. lol maybe its a good thing my English wasn't as good then. Plus you could keep listening over and over and catch something new everytime. 2. Tupac, was the first rapper I was hooked on, also because of the articulation, and I loved the poetry and his delivery," Brenda's got a baby " makes me cry almost every time. 3. Wu tang clan. Somewhat later in life I came across them and I was hooked emedietly, the gritty beats and the diversity of the group, one of the best groups in music in general to this day in my humble opinion.

1. Eminem. If I were to type out the reason why he’s my favorite all time, it would take 4 comments just to get through. He got me into hip hop at a very young age (7) so I also credit him for getting me into music. I can relate to a lot of his experiences in life and he’s helped me get through a lot of hard times. He’s given me confidence, strength and the ability to stand up to others/for myself. I actually got banned from wearing his shirts to school in third grade! That was at the height of all the protests and controversy surrounding him, right when MMLP came out. He gives his fans an insight into his life, his beliefs, his personal traumas and that’s something I really appreciate about him, you feel like you can get to know him through listening to his music. As you’ve said before, he’s transparent and wears his heart on his sleeves. Above all that, the writing, the lyrics, the wordplay, the cadences, the flows, the word bending...unmatched. He’s an absolute genius and I’ll defend this man until the day I die. After 20 years, he’s still underrated and under appreciated. I’ll easily say Em, to me, is the greatest artist of all time. He transcended hip hop, there’s nowhere in the world where you don’t at least KNOW who Eminem is or what he looks like. 2. Tupac - this was somebody who I got into because of Em. Somebody I view to be ahead of his time. He was similar to Em in a way, both very open about their life and struggles, both more like poets than just MCs. There’s not many rappers who have had more of an impact than Pac did. Pac’s whole swag was just incredible, and so many other rappers tried to imitate but none have come close. Pac had that whole thug life vibe down to a T but there was so much more to him than that. His discography, in my opinion, doesn’t have a bad album in it. That 90s west coast hip hop sound is one of my favorites too. RIP to a legend. 3. This is tough because I’m between Method Man and DMX but I’m gonna go with DMX. X was one of the first rappers I listened to. First off, he’s from Yonkers NY which I grew up 5 min away from so gotta support that ✊🏼. But X, man, if drugs hadn’t gotten to him, we’d be having him in that Top 5 convo. My man had 5 straight #1 albums, his lyricism and story telling were some of the best. The Damien trilogy and Here We Go Again highlight that for me personally. Plus, X just had that aggressive, raw voice that suited his rap style perfectly. Nothing gets me hyped more than hearing those fucking barks haha that’s how you knew shit was gonna get a little wild. I don’t usually get caught up in celebrity’s lives but X was one of those that I hoped to see do well and get clean in life. I’m happy for him now, he seems like he’s finally doing good again. Honorable mentions: Ludacris & Chance The Rapper. Luda is often overlooked but he was a monster. He had flows for DAYS and he could rap on any type of beat and kill it. Sprinkled with that Southern swag, I don’t think we’ve seen too many who could do it like Luda did it. Always disappointed we never got a Luda x Em track. Chance The Rapper is probably a controversial pick but his run from 10 Day to Coloring Book was amazing. I became a fan when 10 Day dropped so I was able to watch his growth musically and artistically before my eyes and it was dope to see. I don’t know what’s going on with his last project but I wasn’t feeling it. He’s another guy I consider more of a poet than a rapper, he’s got some deep tracks and his writing is great. His flow is very unconventional on his first 2 projects and his voice is probably grating to some but he’s a great artist, heavily influenced by Kanye as well which you can hear in his music.

His ability to strike a cord with certain subject matters in his songs sets him apart from most for me. Along with the cadence, word play, the doubles the triples I could go on and on. Sup Stevie, this is a super dope thing you're doing just to put that out there. My fave 3 MC's 1. DMX: growing up i only listened to Jazz due to my parents being jazz musicians. One summer my cousin was staying with us and asked if there was any other music stations to listen too (she was getting tired of jazz all day lol) my brother put on Hot97 and DJ Clue was on there and he put on Ruff Ryders Anthem. Everything from the beat to X's voice was like insane to me because I never sat down and listened to a single rap son in its entirety. X was my intro to rap music and his first 3 albums were riddled with hard-core rhymes, aggression and the juxtaposition of it all was with all the drugs and language and story telling he was a God fearing man and included that in his raps and album criteria! Crazy. 2. Eminem: I like most people who look like me did NOT fuck with the goofy, haha slapstick rhymes that Eminem introduced on his leading single "Hi My Name Is." The shock value formula didn't sit well with me at all. Then I listened to Marshall Mathers LP and outside of the leading single "Real Slim Shady." The entire album was filled with just a white boy doing some lyrical exercises that I never heard from any other rapper, only a handful (razz jazz, trech from naughty by nature, jigga in his reasonable doubt days) however the way Eminem did it was like. . . 1 of 1. Never seen or heard anything like it. He did it and stayed in his lane of horror core, shock value, and HIS reality raps. Genius. His complex lyrical capabilities only got better as he aged which is kinda unseen in the genre of rap. 3. Andre 3000: From the first listen to Atliens I was taken back by Andre's talent. His verse structure, content, unorthodox placements of rhymes and schemes was outta this world. All being displayed during a time when someone like myself from NY was biased to southern rappers. Like showcasing that ability so early on was insane to me. The Love Below was the closest thing to a solo project we proudly have ever gotten and it was outstanding in my opinion. With flow styles, speed, content, accents, and beats. 2) Lil Wayne - As a whole Wayne reinvented a lot of styles. His voice is very unique which adds to his appeal. He has countless features and I’ve always loved Wayne’s verses the most whenever he’s on someone else’s track. His wordplay is one of the strongest in the game 3) Ludacris - Luda is undeniably underrated these days. My top three favorite rappers are Eminem, Benny the Butcher, and Hopsin. 1: EMINEM been listening to him since I was like 15... followed him in and out to current day and has so many albums and songs that he usually floods my playlists compared to other rappers 2: Hilltop hoods: australian hip hop i found about 10 years ago.. loved the chilled aussie vibe and the fact that they rap about proper stuff (not just guns hitches and bling) and can tell a good story and put images in your head about said story.. also part of a crew called "certified wise" which cements the above point 3: hard one as I'm not a hip hop head but would probably have to go Scroobius pip, The streets and professor green. all English acts which you may not be aware of. the first 2 are known as street poetry and again is just a different way of rapping and flows are completely different along with subject matter. professor Green was just someone who came along and I ended up seeing and meeting a few times... was a bit of aggressiveness at the time that I was needing lol hope that all makes sense.. was hard for me to answer as I'm more of a rock listener... early linkin Park and limp bizkit would probably be up there but I figured you wouldn't allow it lol

#1 Eminem- Em basically helped me through my whole life. 8 years ago i moved to different country and that was the worst period of my life. I was being bullied at the school so only way out of that was music and at that time that was Eminem's Recovery album. He gave me so much strenght in life + guy is like the best lyricst and wordsmith out there #2 Kendrick Lamar- Kendrick is all around amazing rapper. #1 Eminem- His versatility between cadence, lyrics and the overall mastery of hip hop is unmatched. The factthat he has been doing it for 20+ years and been getting better is unbelievable. #2 Kendrick Lamar- The way Kendrick is able to create absolute bangers while maintaining the poet like lyrics is what separates him head and shoulders above everyone else. Side note Good Kid Maad City is my favorite hip hop album ever released. #3 Denzel Curry- This one is just the simple fact that his music hits all the notes for me. He is an ambassador for hip hop, and in doing so he brings attention to BARS. Tech N9ne- As you continue to dive in to his catalog you will see the different sides of tech, I feel his ability to create emotion is beyond comparison. Not to mention, he is the perfect example for up and coming artists as far as just the business alone. E-40- This dudes music was the soundtrack to my childhood. Logic- this personally just helped me through a really bad depression through highschool and he helped me with some bad anxiety issues. Logic also introduced me to wutang clan and helped me mainly deal with my mental issues and gave me a love for old boombap rap. -Royce da 5’9” - he mainly just schooled me on how important the art form is, over the industry. I also think his craftsmanship is almost on par with Eminem which is hard to find. A lot of royce’s content is super deep and always has a strong message, and he never worries about making bangars or being mainstream. I’ll DM you the rest :)

1. Eminem due to 9 mil reasons but we will leave it with he's the most technically, lyrically sound rapper of the last 2 decades 2. Tupac because he's a phenomenal rapper he broke barriers at the time and spawned probably the all around best era in rap (gangsta rap) 3. Busta Rhymes- due to his longevity his energy and his penmanship he's had alot of great music that has crossed different eras in rap/hip hop and has also cross bred other genres of music into hip hop

Why? They’ve all helped me through dark moments in life. They’ve given me great moments in life. But also, their work to consistently (in my opinion) put out incredible music. Lyrically and sonically. The hard work they put in is inspiring. And to stay relevant in an industry that repeatedly changes it’s sound is hella impressive. I would say those are my top 3 favorite rappers

Eminem because he helped me with my depression growing up and his insane metaphors and double entendres, Lil wayne because his metaphors and 2pac because of his relatable content. I felt everything Pac said and felt his passion through his music.

Top 3: Eminem- He got me into rap, and I think he's the goat. Nobody can do what he does lyrically and I love his transparency. Lil Wayne- He is amazing lyrically as well, his metaphors and doubles are insane. He got me through a lot. Kendrick- The messages in his music. I love the way he puts an album together, like a perfect project you have to listen to together.

1. Eminem- nobody can do what he does and I don't think there's anything he can't do. Lyrically incredible 2. 2pac- the emotions he not only put into his songs but into the listeners is crazy. 3.
