The reason you find so much similarities between Earth Arcade and HMLYCP is because this genre of variety (travel somewhere, live a casual/relaxing life, and play games for things you want) is essentially pioneered by Na PD (1 Night 2 Days season 1, Three Meals a Day, Grandpas over Flowers, New Journey To the West, Earth Arcade, Game Caterers). I think that's a big factor in why Earth Arcade blew up in Korea. People loved watching a living industry legend (Na PD) getting flustered by a bunch of Gen Z kids, being asked "How long have you been at this?" by Youngji at one point 😂 . Cast chemistry is great, but would you believe me if I said it gets even better and better as the season continues? 😁 And that the cast chemistry just keep getting even better by Season 2?
