2020-12-20 01:02:23 +0000 UTCWhiners complaining about the "wack ass beat". Do you have ANY idea how hard it is to mix a "rock-n-roll" sound and "rap" together? You are looking at one genre of music designed to continue forward with beats and musical drop-ins, and a 2nd genre known for maintaining the same beat through the entire track. It takes a person who is a true MASTER of words to be capable of combining the two genres and keeping them solidified by the BARS BEING SPAT OUT! Em is possibly the ONLY "rapper" who could actually take something classical from Mozart (either instrumental or opera) and make a banger out of it due to the bars he puts down.

I hope he doesn’t work with Rick Rubin again I think he ruined the mmlp2 n I don’t think they mix well together

That "stoned, kick rocks" scheme was bananas, the way he flipped the common idiom "those in glass houses should not throw stones" (the meaning of which he basically says the bar before) was nuts. I fucking love this song even though the beat is average the hook is trash (my main issue with the whole MMLP2) but his flow is so fucking incredible that the song just rides. It's so intricately written but it's incredibly smooth, and he's not just yelling like it sounds like he is on the rest of the album.
