MIKE TYSON HOTBOXIN WITH EMINEM - PART 1

MIKE TYSON HOTBOXIN WITH EMINEM - PART 1

Comments

he might not like the beat lol still fire tho

Marlon

So after Eminem drops infinite and no one really likes it he dropped the slim shady EP. that’s where some of the songs on the LP came from. The slim shady EP is when he turned dark and started saying some crazy shit bc he was fed up with no one giving him the credit he deserved. Look it up!

tgood

Kamikaze interview is dope

Alfredo Guevara

I'm probably not the first to tell you this, Stevie, but that eviction story is what Em's talking about on Rock Bottom. When he said "I feel discouraged, hungry and malnourished Livin' in this house with no furnace, unfurnished" he was being literal. He wrote Rock Bottom after being evicted and then breaking back into the house and slept on the floor, without any heat cuz the furnace was shut down. You should check out his interview with LL Cool J after the Kamikaze album release, he talks more in depth about that time in his life and more personal stuff (first becoming famous, early drug use, etc.)

DesertKate Walker

waiting for the kamikaze interview with sway

Like a few people already mentioned, their was no β€œmarketing team”. Em created his slim shady person because he was so pissed about the reception off infinite and all the bullshit in his life. It was all him, Dre just gave his co-sign and a few beats and the rest is history.

Tobias Montana

Would be awesome

Kostia

Broski. Ima keep saying this: Tobe Nwigwe - Father Figure ft. Black Thought and Royce

Tom Zoeter

The level of humbleness is outstanding. Em looks like a kid, Tyson talks more than him. This interview is great! Never seen Stevie pause the video so rarely, he was deep into it.

Kostia

Actually I’d be up for watching Stevies reaction to all 4 episodes. Interesting background they have both Jimmy Iovine and Dre

Janni Nielsen

Well done Stevie for taking time to put this video up thank you.

Anne-Marie Thawes

Boxing is a martial art for real. Love when Tyson said you have to give up your happiness to accomplish your goals and Em was like yep tell me about it. This interview is like tv gold 2 best in their field just having a conversation like regular people love it - so interesting.

Anne-Marie Thawes

Just, FYI....you don't need to cut. You can do the whole thing in one. We will watch it.

scamrasc

Was waiting for this one!

I personally like the EP better than the LP..It was more serious & I think you would like the rhyming better overall. I think once Em signed with Dre, he took Slim Shady a notch higher for the LP as a character bc it got more of a reaction from Dre. I even remember Em once saying something about Dre liking it when he rapped in a higher pitch than his actual voice. But I'm just saying...Slim Shady was already a thing before Dre..It just maybe took on a little bit of a different form for that one album (the LP) when he first started working with Dre

Anna

Stevie, Em put out the Slim Shady EP in '97. . .before Dre. That's what he tossed to the guy at the battle that Dre heard. It had Just Don't Give a Fuck, Low Down Dirty, If I Had, 97 Bonnie & Clyde, No One's Iller, & Murder Murder. He also recorded Rock Bottom back then. Em had already created Slim Shady in '96 when D12 was founded. The idea behind D12 was for all 6 rappers to have alter egos..hence the 12. Then, when Infinite flopped so badly, Em was so angry and discouraged that he decided to use Slim Shady to say whatever the fuck he wanted & to also be satirical about the world..If ur interested, Em literally goes thru the whole transition himself in an interview with LL Cool J

Anna

It was one part a d12 thing (they couldn't find 12 mcs) and one part therapy for working through his fucked up shit and getting all his anger out. He needed Slim Shady at that time, just as a copibg mechanism too. Then Dre heard it, realised there was nothing else like it, and felt inspired by it. When Jimmy Iovine saw that, he understood the potential....and they created a monster....

scamrasc

Stevie, I think you’re missing the fact there was a Slim Shady EP before he met Dre. Eminem was the mastermind behind that marketing gimmick. He had the epiphany when he was on the crapper to create this alter ego that says all the fucked up shit.

Kyle Stephenson

Love Mike and Em. How cool would it be to chill with both then for a day just listening to stories

Chris Sturgill

You should watch him punk Boosie and T.K. Kirkland... Those were FUNNY!!!πŸ˜…πŸ€£

Mike Morgan

I really enjoyed hearing both of them talk about the REAL story of their lives. Even with the awkward pauses, Mike has great interviews

Mike Morgan

I knew this was coming. Great selection.
