Revival could've been his masterpiece. His signature album. Em is a master of controlling the narrative. That is really what he is best at. He has a Machiavellian mind. That is why he'll never lose a battle, actually. Not so mucu because of his skill.... anyway, he puts it out there that "he was too woke" and that is why Revival flopped. And that sounds good. But parts of Revival will make your ears bleed. It was literally like he said "ok, how can I take possibly my best work ever and make it sound so paradoxically-terrible that no one likes it? Like how shitty can I make this sound? How can I RUIN this album...? It's a damn shame.... but I agree. If he doesn't evolve that will be the reason. He has to commit to that explanation, now.... if he doesn't evolve it will likely be because of that. Not just because of that; but because people don't want him to it sounds cool. Em staying Em.... people love Em. Want more of that shit. And it is hard for artists to change and maintain their masterful hold of their art and it is hard for us to accept change. But the alternative is the artist doing the same shit until he is suddenly whack as all hell one day.... I'd rather have some bumpy years here and there + 20 more years of mostly dope Em. Plus an incredible ans matured artist on the other side... but who knows... I mean at one point I listened to new Jay Z and new Beanie Sigel in the same day. And holy SHIT was it night and day..... Jay has evolved perfectly and will continue to. Beans was acting tough in a studio, going back on it, getting knocked out on camera, making up lame excuses, talking tough at 50 with no lung about how this big ass young dude "snuck" him.... just sad shit. And I listened to his shit and it was like oh ill shoot him shoot them. And somehow i heard an interview afterward where he said oh he knows i wont shoot him, it's just what we do, he gets it. In thr song he was like this is real im so tough ill kill you blah blah... shit was truly just disgusting. Like bro you're a 47 year old grandfather muslim with 1 lung. Why are you in any of these positions, why are you rapping like that.... no one wants to hear that shit... go make a song about why people shouldnt be killing each other... leave the raw shit for the 20 year olds you cornball... sorry, got off track... i hope em evolves and stays around. But... truth be told... I'd be happy with 5 more years... I mean it's been 20 years of nonstop fire... I totally get not wanting it to end... but how disappointed can you really be after all this? Lol dude has done waaaay morr than he had to... it really is a special time to be a music fan. This dude is different. It's truly fuckin... magical to have witnessed from the beginning.

But if hes going till hes 60, and we're saying that's not a whack age to rap till, we still have 12 years of new shit, I'm cool with that - not that it's up to me. I think he tried to mature on Revival - not saying I loved the album - but he didnt execute it right. So after the reaction to that album hes decided ppl must not want to hear him be more mature. I think he'll do some more mature shit, hes just gotta find the right way to do it and get passed thinking the maturity is why ppl didnt like Revival. Castle and Arose were some grown up songs, imo and Walk on Water was rlly reflective. And, he doesnt like sharing his personal life very much anymore so that rlly limits what he can speak maturely about. But, yeah, I get what your saying and I agree, just a little in denial tho 😂

But seriously, people like growth... Em has already gotten kind of a pass because he is so dope. But if it were anyone else we would already be tired of it. It's not anyone else, it's Em. So it's cool. But that pass only stretches so far. By the time he's 60 no one is going to want to hear shit from him unless his content evolves. Not an insult. Just is what it is. And that is how the world is supposed to be. We're not supposed to like, condone or appreciate a senior citizen doing the same shit he did when he was 25... you ever meet an old guy that acts like he's 20 or can't stop talking about the high school football game or some fight he got into when he was 22? Saddest fuckin thing in the world. Prob at the bar every night... doesn't matter what you're doing, that is always the whackest shit on Earth
